Ideally you have a team that gives you a winning season consistently with deep playoff runs as a realistic goal. Winning the SB for teams not named Patriots is a special moment that is cherished. Marty for example was a great coach, but like Dan Marino, he will never be the greatest, because he couldn't get that ring.

I am good with the owner going for that last piece to get you over the top, but you also don't want to go years on end constantly chasing fools gold, and ending up with years of disappointment like the Skins have had for nearly 20 years.

It is what I call extremeskins as too many folks there remind of emotional high school girls. There are some nice folks I have met there at games when I travelled down. But all too often the board is a suck hole of bitching and whining.

Who wouldn’t want to win consistently? I’d still take a one year flash in the pan SB win though. A ring is a ring. Who cares how or why.

I don't mind buying pieces from time to time or to fill what is missing. But the Skins need that core first.
