Actually what he was asking for is smart. Give small business a tax break so they will vote Rep. and extend unemployment (which only gives people longer to sit on their ass) which hurts Obama.

Excellent explanation of where the electoral college currently stands.

Here is another link. A mandated fee is the same thing as a tax no matter what you call it. Its also a program where the fee is collected by the federal gov. TAX

Last year, a federal program paid out $1.6 billion to cover free cell phones and the monthly bills of 12.5 million wireless accounts. The program, overseen by the FCC and intended to help low-income Americans, is popular for obvious reasons, with participation rising steeply since 2008, when the government paid $772 million for phones and monthly bills. But observers complain that the program suffers from poor oversight, in which phones go to people who don’t qualify, and hundreds of thousands of those who do qualify have more than one phone.

Thank you. I thought the origanal plan was to give older people and the poor used free phones with free 911 service. Seems that simple idea became a 1.2 billion dollar buy their vote plan under obama. I just had to say that.

20 minutes into the VP debate and...

I don't think Ryan is slam dunking this like people expected. Seems pretty balanced so far, maybe Biden with an edge.

Yup ... and we both know which way we each lean. Even so, Biden is just coming across as an ass to me. Ryan has his own faults.

If you are too tempered you are weak and an ineffective debator and if you are too fiery you are an ass. I am of the opinion that politicians should speak freely without getting personal. That means call out the BS, the retardedness, and the flip flopping.

Ryan is full of shit and I mean that nicely.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election (free for all edition)

Well, the debate was certainly closer this time. Being a fan of Ryan, I was put off by Biden's filibustering, and kinda mad when Biden was even interrupting and yelling at the moderator. I imagine people supporting Biden/Obama liked what Biden was doing theatrically. I still wish they'd mute each debater when his time is up.

I thought Ryan won on what substance he was able to get in. What a lot of the stimulus went for, the difference between a cut and a spending decrease, what's projected for Obamacare (or Romneycare for that matter), everybody knows you overcome the debt balance with growth... I thought Biden might have won people over on style, but that depends on what others think.

Obama spoke more minutes than Romney did, in their first debate. This debate was even more lopsided, lol.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election (free for all edition)

It is quite easy to be a fierce, fiery debater without being an ass.

There was ample shit shoveled by both sides tonight.
