How can I say it?

Simple math, 5 is greater than 3.

How does riding the bench and learning the offense for an additional 2 seasons not count?? C'mon dude don't be so ignorant.

Campbell = 18

Romo = 28

I think what Matty is referring to is the extra two years that Romo had to sit on the sidelines to study and learn the offense, which Campbell has not had a chance to benefit from.

Romo also has twice as many starts...

Like I said before, we can make the playoffs with only 9 wins. That means we NEED to go 4-1...that is very doable.
It may seem bleek now, but it can be done. We must stop GIVING games away though.

If we play like we are capable of playing we can win out...

It all depends on which team shows up, and that's turning into a complete crapshoot and guessing game. Will the team that dominated Detroit show up? Or will it be the team who gift wrapped a must-win game with six turnovers and handed it to Tampa Bay?

Your guess is as good as mine. The most aggravating thing about this season and many others is that we have the POTENTIAL. If we played like we OUGHT to play we'd be one of the best.

This schizophrenic team identity makes predicting anything impossible, and makes hoping for playoff spot an exercise in nothing but faith and good feelings since there's no consistent metric on which to base anything.

We held them to only 3 points offensively. The other points were off key turnovers in the redzone that we literally GAVE them.
We have a slew of key injuries too. Yet we are in every game and show signs of greatness. We should have won this game with our play, but our 6 to's killed us. We can do this if we get together as a team.

Yeah, but dude, its ALWAYS something new. Injuries, turn overs, this or that. I mean when are we going to just crush teams in consecutive weeks. There is always something holding us back. Its the same shit every year....

Our signs of greatness are more like flashes of something that could have been, we suck flat out, and we have sucked for years.

oh, and by the way.... i just saw walt harris intercept a ball, makes me sick.

Why do we need to "crush" teams? I just want to win.
I don't know about you, but we are showing more signs of life this year than the past about 7 years.

Watching the Skins continually beat themselves is just too much. Are we ever going to get over the hump?

Will the offseason even make us better?

IMO this all stems from our team not having an identity and it starts at the top. When the Skins were great in Gibbs 1.0 they had an identity, power running to set up play action down the field. Physical run stopping defense. Well coached, great halftime adjustments, great special teams. In Gibbs 2.0 it appears there are too many chiefs (read egos) and not enough indians on the coaching staff and in the front office.

I've said this before, Snyder and Gibbs need to meet after the season. Move Gibbs into the front office as the CEO/GM. Get rid of Cerrato, let Gibbs hire a new head coach and let the new coach bring in a whole new coaching staff. Gibbs as GM can worry about the long term vision of the franchise and built it to win championships like Gibbs 1.0 and his NASCAR teams.

Week to week it appears we are changing offensive philosophies and defensively we dont consistently shut people down or make good in game adjustments. Today the defense played well, but we were playing against a backup QB.

Re: Redskins at Bucs game thread

the only coaching decision i didnt like turned out to be the big one. instead of going for it in the redzone, if they had taken the three, we could've easily scored 2 more field goals to tie it up...

i know if ifs and buts were candy and nuts, but I was pretty disappointed about leaving the 3 on the field... even before we didn't get it... the other 2 calls to go for it i understood and supported, but oh well...

I guess we'll be playing one game at a time and enjoying redskin games just for the games themselves... no pressure of playoffs...
