If the woman is the most qualified candidate, so be it. I would not say no women in NFL ever. If there is honestly a woman who can compete with men in NFL with NO special allowances, so be it. But we all know that isn't the reality. Reverse racism and reverse chauvinism are now the new norms. Where are the four white candidates interviewed for the new position, or did they just hire without that process. Imagine doing that for someone hired who is white? I get that this position may not qualify for those rules, but just saying. It is anti-white-male racism, plain and simple.

RR having a secretary is a wise move if he wants one. But that isn't what the focus is on, is it? It is ridiculous to suggest that all these minority and female hires have nothing to do with the looming sexual harassment suits, the NFL investigation, the history of players being told not to look Snyder in the eyes, the atrocious perception of organization, etc., especially because many were made before conclusion of investigation that could have forced Snyder to sell team. No organization exists in a vacuum in that regard. Even if Snyder did not order the hires, and I believe he did in aggregate by saying the organization wanted to be more progressive in future and spinning it that way, they are being made with an eye towards making him look progressive to refute the absolutely atrocious behavior of this organization during his ownership. I agree not worth PR, but let's be clear: these moves are being made with at least some consideration to improving the organization's horrible public perception. The worst move, IMHO, was Donaldson. She is attractive but is a thoroughly average journalist at best who I have never heard say a single insightful thing, and was absolutely hired primarily because of her gender, probably entirely because of it.

We haven't hired a purple polka-dotted bisexual midget yet, we'd better get on that.

Can we keep politics out of this thread ? I'm having a hard not laughing and sobbing at the same time.

Idk, personally I've always looked forward to the day when I see a woman playing WR. Finally we'd get to see a proper twerk celebration.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

I'm not getting into the politics but are there women's kitted leagues (obvs amateur) in the USA? We've got them in Europe, even international tournaments, though obviously as they've only been around a few years, the quality isn't great.

I've no issue at all with a woman working in the NFL, on the field or otherwise if she is there by merit and not for virtue signalling. If a woman wants to play and she's capable of competing with male players what's the issue? But I would have thought if women really want to play then setting up women's leagues is the way to go, not trying to break into the NFL. Nobody has a problem with the WNBA being in existence do they?

PS I suspect there are plenty of women that would qualify as a better NT than Albert Haynesworth did, if only from an effort perspective!

PPS From looks alone, anyone would think Rodrigo Blankenship was out of place in the NFL; he looks more like a Google employee. There are women out there look more like an NFL player than he does.

Some roster moves by the team:

@NickiJhabvala
The Washington Football Team released DT Caleb Brantley, WR Emanuel Hall, TE Thaddeus Moss, and RBs Javon League and Michael Warren.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

I thought we released Moss LAST year, but yes, I was hoping for something from him too.

Losing the preseason really hurt his chances of making the team, many other UDFAs as well.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

I guess that means we will be drafting a TE, and looking for FA TE's too.

I didn't have much hope that Moss would pan out, but I figured we'd at least get a look this off-season/pre-season.

Wouldn't be surprised if we pick him up again post draft, assuming we don't fill our boots in the draft.
