Injuries are part of the game, and we have been on the receiving end of an injury plagued roster many a time. Every gameday situation is different, and a win is a win. Yeah a shitload of offense was given up, but only 13 points. Like with women, the object of the game is scoring not yardage. I rather have an defense that gave up the lowest points and/or the best turnover ratio than the defense that gave up the fewest yards anyday.

I love how people are using the injury excuse. Last time I checked the roster has 53 players on it, not 11. Point being injuries are not an excuse at this level, it's a reality.

Oh, 3-0 in the conference looks pretty damn good from where I sit!

Above all this game proved that we can win close games. We lost somewhere between 7 and 9 games last year by less then 6 points last year and just proceeded to beat a team that was suppose to kill us. Quit kill-joying and enjoy the win. Let the players worry about improving. The win is for the fans.
True. And it proved that we can come from behind to win.

Hell f***ing yeah! Not pretty, but a W nonetheless!

I think everybody realizes we have things to improve on, and we still aren't quite consistent, but this team made plays when it counted and refused to give up. You can't quite measure that, and no doubt this is a game we would've lost last season. We're obviously not there yet but we have seen flashes, and the fact that we made just enough plays to come back and win this game helps bigtime.

Matthews leaving the game was the main reason we started to put points on the board today. McNabb had NO time to throw and was getting killed until Matthews went out.
You can call some of it luck, but we are also a very physical hardhitting team and we took out Vick with a good clean hit and several players have been hurt against us, Andre Johnson and several more today.

I know this has been said before but I think it needs to be said again, I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day.

One thing the Redskins need to work on is penalties on special teams, seems that like after every return a penalty was committed that hurt field position.

The second, is to stop the run up the middle, has been killing the team all season long.

Re: Redskins vs. Packers Week Five

A win is a win and this team is finding ways to win. The offense is terrible, no running game, the line stunk today, McNabb missed a ton of open guys..yet the defense stepped up and held down Green Bay. I think losing Finley killed them. Clay Matthews getting hurt REALLY helped.

Lions trounced the Rams.

We're alright, but we're not world beaters by any stretch.

We can enjoy the win, but some of us know that this had more to do with the Packers losing it more than us going out and winning it. BUT... we'll take it. Big win for us but let's not make it as though we dominated.

I will take the W, we are now 3-2 (3-1 in the NFC; 2-0 in the NFC East). Defense came through and shut me up. I wish the offense would play two halves instead of just one.
