Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Finished watching Geron's tape from Thursday... Yikes, constantly getting manhandled, lacks quickness as well. If he is the starting LT, we are going to be really bad on offense.
Pass blocking grade = 49.1 Run blocking grade = 47.1 Through 2 games so far.

And I have a feeling it will be a huge topic on the upcoming CBA. Players will demand that marijuana testing be removed from the league entirely. What leads to heroin addiction is athletes (yeah even high school athletes) sustaining a serious injury and they are prescribed narcotics, like oxycodone as a pain killer. These pain killers possess a high risk of addiction. Then when the prescriptions run out, you have essentially created an addict that usually turn to heroin to satisfy that addiction. I for one would much rather see that athlete use marijuana which is less addictive and it just frigging works. |

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
He just isn't strong enough and it's obvious. Not sue Penn's any better. LT is going to be a total mess if TW doesn't show up.

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
It's tough but Penn needs to get the starting reps this week, He's better overall even at his old age. If we can't run the ball this yr we are fucked

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
I don't think you should be looking at whether Penn starts. They seem to be putting Penn and Wes Martin in when Haskins in under center. This to me is telling. I would state they are putting in the OL players they think are likely to be starters when Haskins is in to give him the best chance to succeed.

Geron Christian has been a complete mess. Penn will start over him

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
I agree - that is clearly their plan. And Wes Martin at LG.

Gruden when asked if he’s talked to Trent in the last few weeks:
“Maybe”

There is no excuse for him not to be strong enough by now! Hit the fucking weights. Looking like a bust.
