People have the right to be upset, and I get it, the name change sucks and no one is going to be happy. But to seriously say this is the worst thing ever is borderline ridiculous.
Agreed. It sucks, but Redskins was dumped 2 years ago, and Commanders has been at the top of the rumor list for anyone willing to pay attention for the last few months.

I get it, initial reactions to any sort of significant change tend to be over the top and even absurd, mostly slanted to the negative side of things. In time the name will sound normal, and we'll get used to the uniforms too. A name or uniform isn't going to win us any games, so ultimately the thing that really matters in trying to build a winner hasn't changed at all.

Re: Name Reveal 2.2.22

I’m sure all of it was on purpose .. if they are that inept then we might as well throw in the towel ..the commanders were on of the names on the list and others were leaked to .. so if the commanders name was never ever shown in the video then it would be obvious.. I saw nothing wrong with any of this …

Yeah, I'm not even that mad about it. I don't really like it, but it is what it is. I'm on board, just want them to win and become a respected franchise again. It's not going to happen overnight, if it happens at all, but I hope we're trending in the right direction.

QB.

Lipstick on a pig.

Said it myself many times. Winning makes everything better. So like Matty said, who is our quarterback gonna be week one? It’s literally all i care about.

[I accidentally posted this is a different thread. I meant to post it here so doing so now]

I know I'm late to the party but I think the team should've been renamed:
WASHINGTON RIGGINS

-It would be 2 syllables, starting with an R. ("Hail to the Riggins" would still work).

-It would tie the team to its history

-It would be unique

-Not offensive (unless Riggins has done something I don't know about?)

-Fans would get a real kick out of it.

Name the team after a player? Dumb idea, but Riggins of all players when there are so many other better legendary options?

Sliniging Sammy Baugh=Washington Slingers

Art Monk= Washington Monks

Darrell Green= DC Greenbacks

Russ Grimm= DMV Brothers Grimm

Chris Cooley= Washington Cooley's

Larry Browns

JK, naming a team after a former player is just stupid

How bout the Washington Diesels? Or the DC Diesel?

It is dumb to name it after a player. I think he was being sarcastic?
That being said if we had to it would absolutely be Riggo!
