But what if he comes in as a rookie and plays like Andy Dalton? Then is his age a huge issue? I mean, a good QB plays through 34-35. Brees was 33 this year, Brady is 34, Eli is 31, & brother Peyton won his SB at 30, lost one at 33... heck, Elway was 37 & 38 in his SBs... also see Kurt Warner, Brad Johnson, and Rich Gannon. By my count, he could be at least 6 to 8 year run of good QB play for someone possibly. I could see Weeden being this year's Dalton for sure.... why not?

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Weedon is definitely the one of the best quarterbacks in the draft. Because of his age, he may be the most mature of all the quarterbacks entering the 2012 NFL draft. As the old saying goes, age ain't nothing but a number. What if Weedon does what Big Ben did in his rookie season?

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Heres a couple quick thoughts I have on Weeden;
- He may be old, but he's a pocket-passing QB, those guys have shelve lives for a long time. Vinny Testeverde played tell he was like 45-46ish? - Kurt Warner entered the NFL as a 28 year old, he left as a 37 year old who took 2 different teams to the super bowl and appeared there 3 times. -Mike Mayock said today that everyone should just stop with the comparisons of Chris Weinke to Weeden, that Weeden is a much better passer and polished QB than Weinke. -Lets also not forget that Weeden threw to a 2 time Fred Biletnikof receiver, and first rounder, Justin Blackmon. That really helps, and makes you wonder what he can do when he doesn't have a big name great WR. Age doesn't matter much to me know, because QB's are honestly just a few years off from a kicker or punter, and if you have one that can get the ball out fast, is smart, and has a good arm, well he can play till he's 40 something to be honest.

#2 deciding not to partake in the Senior Bowl is not helping his status. #3 did not look as sharp today or very big compared to his counter parts. #4 I forget what the knock on him was, sorry but he and the Lindly kid are last on my list. #5 Weeden has done nothing but improve his stock for me. Won his Bowl game, against Luck, threw all the passes to include the deep ball perfectly, showed up for the Senior Bowl in shape, and has been tossing the ball pretty well to include rolling out and throwing the ball in a similar system the Skins use. I say similar cause it's a watered down version of what we do but he looks good doing it. #6 Lindly I think if I'm not mistaken is too short at like 5-9 or 5-10. #7 intrigues me cause he is like 6-8 and supposedly. An make decent throws.i think this kids knock was being able to read defenses. I understand the concern about Weedens age and as mention Mayoch(spelling) said this kid will be someone you bring in and either start immediately if you can get him to understand enough of your offense or start within a year or two cause he will most likely play into his 30's. My second reason for him is he is mature and hopefully will make better decisions because of being more mature. My last reason is because he is right now learning some of our offense and picking it up well and looks good and he buys us time to look at other QB's in the next few years to start developing without having to toss half of our valuable draft picks this year and next year to get. He's someone we can take in the 1st that will already know the coaches and some of the plays and the coaches will already know him and what he needs to finish learning and still have a full compliment of draft picks to pick up other offensive weapons to help him out vs. tossing half our picks away at one QB whom we won't start picking up help for until round 3 or 4. We need more WR help whether you guys realize it or not. Our 3 top WRs are Moss(aged), Gaffney, Armstrong(50/50), and Hankerson. The rest really didn't contribute except Stallworth who was let go mid season and brought back. Hankerson still has to prove himself, and Armstrong could have been only a flash in the pan we shall see if he takes his mediocre play to heart this year and steps up or not. If I had a broken foot I'd probably "decide" not to participate as well

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Combine and Senior Bowl two different things. Tannehill still has the combine and his pro day.
