Great moves! Only a complete pesimist would argue the point.
Spell check please

Fortunately, people have been calling for our cap death for years and they've been wrong every time. I too thought we'd have cap woes this year. I was wrong. I'll probably be wrong again. I just am absolutely confused as to where the money is coming from. My understanding is that under the new CBA, any cash over the cap affects the team's cap the following year. So, if a team spends a lot one year, they can spend less the following year and vice-versa. So, I'm just wondering where we are getting the money. I'm totally lost on the point. |

Okay, back to the signings. Is any defense going to be able to stop us? Is any offense going to be able to beat us? Doubt it. |

ONE THING, that I ABSOLUTELY must commend this coaching staff on is the fact that they looked at what went wrong last season and really made a big difference in the greatest area of doubt. We went from having ONE legitimate deep threat to having what might now be 4 deep threats. Congrats Gibbs and crew. Cheers Warpath!!!

Re: Your opinion on the Skins free agent moves so far?
cash over cap is league-based not team based from what i heard.
divide the 40-50mill we're over by 32 and it's not that bad (with over teams staying under). the contracts are generally vet min (or near that) for 2 years and then the base bumps up. so these guys are 2.5-3.5mill of cap space in both of the first 2 years, with arch being 1.5-2.5 this year and 2.5-3.5 next year. |

Re: Your opinion on the Skins free agent moves so far?
Good moves. For those who think DE is still a glaring need should read up on Andre Carter. He is now our starting DE opposite Daniels. As for Archuleta, he seems very much an athletic mirror image of Bowen who seemingly didn't fit in. Maybe his knowledge of the game gives him the edge over Bowen and Ryan Clark though Clark is familiar with this system and the tendencies of other teammates. I think it was columnist Daly who wrote that it probably won't rub Sean Taylor the right way with Archuleta signing a record breaking contract. And Greg Williams as said many times before that Taylor is the best football player he's ever coached. Randle El, hmmm. I've said it before. It seems overkill to have three WRs signed to big contracts. I think Lloyd is a better WR than Randle El. And you don't pay a return specialist starting WR money. I read how excited Randle El was about playing with Lloyd but has any one heard the same cheers from Patten or Moss about them?
