Re: Revised Thread: Redskins Sign Vincent
Didn't we know Wright and Archuleta wasn't great in coverage? Didn't we know Springs wasn't durable? We would've been better off drafting a CB this year (even not knowing Posey would be available). This cookie is starting to crumble.

Re: Troy Vincent is at Redskins Park today
Nothing? Last year he logged 102 tackles and 4 INTs....I do believe that may be better than anything we got going right now!

Re: Redskins Sign Vincent (MERGED)
If anything, this signing will hopefully wake up the guys in the secondary into the realization that no one's job is safe.

Can't hurt. A vet who is well respected(Pres on NFLPA) can only be good for us. God knows we need something on D to spark some inspired play.

Re: Revised Thread: Redskins Sign Vincent
Last year, 4 INTs, 42 tackles, 24 assists, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 forced fumble.
He may be a bit long in the tooth, but he does seem to still have some life in him. Comparison to Sean Taylor for 2005, 54 tackles, 2 INTs, 19 assists.

Re: Redskins Sign Vincent (MERGED)
How DESPERATE are the Redskins. Do they think signing Troy now and having to wait a couple of weeks for him to become ready for game status has anything to do with the fact Mark still holds the ball and that the D-Line gets brushed off like dandruff flakes to offenses. This team signed him with the depseration to finish the season at 8-2 at best to make the playoffs. What a waste of $$ but what a great name player to sign. 8-2, 9-1, or 10-0 to finish the season to make the playoffs. They are treading very deep water with those numbers. What happens next year when Prison returns from injury, what will be when DOckery and STaylor need to be resigned is there $ for all this???

Re: Redskins Sign Vincent (MERGED)
So, I'm hearing all this stuff about where he's going to play. Is he playing CB or SS in passing downs?
