Re: What's your pet peeve?

One peeve that I've developed lately is people who are big time slackers at work. I'm not saying I'm Mr. 110% effort at work, but I get my damn job done everyday. I hate the slackers who are constantly socializing and then wonder why they fall behind, and then want to blame management for an "unreasonable workload". Do your work, stop hanging out and talking for hours on end, and just maybe you'll get your work done on time!

I'm with you on this one, Hog. If you have a kid that's behaving uncontrollably at a restaurant or any public place. TAKE HIM THE F*CK OUT OF THE ROOM!!!

(sorry for the caps)

The rules when eating out with your kids:

1) If you've got a baby (can't talk yet) then make sure you stay at places like Applebees or TGI Fridays. Babies don't belong in nice restaurants. They can scream all they want in an Applebees, if people don't like it there they can go to hell. You pay for what you get.

2) If they're toddlers or older:

- No getting up from the table (nothing is worse than when parents let their kids play around the table or, God forbid, run around)
- No turning around and staring at other customers.
- No whining of any kind.
- No fighting with siblings.
- No throwing food.
- Sit your butt in the chair with legs under the table, and quietly eat your food.

Rule number 2 applies anywhere, whether you're in McDonalds' or a four-star restaurant. The parents must have a trump card up their sleeve to make the kids behave, ie no triple chocolate snickers cake for dessert if you don't behave.

That will all work if you sedate the kid before you go out.

LOL

Just order an extra glass of wine, tell the waiter to put it in this sippy cup, and tell the little tyke it's grape juice.

And since my wife and I were basically stuck right there while we were waiting for our table, we were basically a captive audience. So I tried to ignore it, but it got to be too much.

I pretended like I didn't know he was on the phone, and I started having the conversation with him. He said to the person on the other end of the line, "So did you go out last night or did you just hang in?"

I said in full voice, "Oh, hey, how's it goin. Well I was going to go out, but I ate chinese for dinner and I was dealing with some gas, so I decided I'd just hang in."

He shot a look and ignored me.

He then said to the person on the other end of the line, "Oh that sucks." Which jived perfectly with what I had said to him. So I said "Yeah, see but I should know better. Chinese food always does that to me, but I still order it. That's kind of what I get."

He gets annoyed, turns to me and says "dude I'm on the phone, I'm not talking to you. I don't want to hear your problems."

So I said "OK good, because nobody here wants to be a part of your phone conversation either. Maybe you should take it outside or hang up."

Then the hostess called me and my wife for our table, and I got to make a dramatic exit.

LOL, Great Story!!
I had something similar where some Asshole started talking to me wearing a Bluetooth and I just ignored him until he tapped me on the shoulder and said he was talking to me. I just said that I couldn't tell with that ****ing thing in your ear and walked away.

Re: What's your pet peeve?

Schneed that's probably the best story I've ever heard on Warpath.

My Pet Peeves:

People that sort of copy your screen name. Remember 12thMan from New Jersey or some shit? Pissed me off, do something different!

People that say, I know this is a stupid question....then they proceed to ask anyway. Or better yet, I hate it when the moron answering the stupid question responds, there are no stupid questions. Why don't you two just get married!

Guys that wear those dirty ass white sweat socks with open toe sandals - I'm really sorry if that's you and we're cool. Please don't hold it against 12th.

I hate bad ass kids, especially in public. I f**ing hate "timeout". If anything, little Johny needs a *two minute warning. If you keep this shit up little Johny, I'm beating your little ass in two minutes!

Re: What's your pet peeve?

Oh, one more thing. And maybe this isn't a pet peeve so much, but I'll say it anyway.

Some of you f**kers that secretly visit Warpath then run back to Extremes and think they're better. We'll were better - now! For the record, Warpath is the shit! So take your spineless ass back to Extreme(s).

Okay, I'm done
