Matty - not trying to be nitpicky here - my hope is the Skins stop throwing draft picks around like they did in the past because my belief is the only way to build long lasting quality teams is through the draft with some free agent spinkles if you know what I mean. I know that a lot of draft picks will not turn out to be good, but at least with more picks you get more chances and outside of the 1st round picks from the 2nd round down they don't squeeze the cap like a $10 million dollar bonus to a Brandon Llyod does.
The point is you can't say the 49ers got the better end because they simply did not based on who they drafted.

I'm not saying it was wise to give away those picks.

I dont think that's accurate. The trade should not be viewed as what did the 49ers do with those picks, but rather, who was available that the Skins could have drafted? If you look at it your way, the Bailey for Portis deal was not a bad deal for the Skins even though most fans would agree that the Skins paid too much by throwing in a draft pick.

Re: Lloyd doesn't make trip to Meadowlands

You have to look past intended passes toward Lloyd to determine whether he's being "ignored" or not. There is so much more to consider

-What is his attitude when plays aren't called for him
-Why aren't more throws coming his way, is he not running the right route?
-What is he doing in practice
-What about film sessions
-Why is he skipping meetings
-How is he treating his teammates, coaches, and the staff at Redskins Park

Re: Lloyd doesn't make trip to Meadowlands

At this point, it's a lost cause. Let him sit inactive the rest of the year and get him on the next Greyhound out of Union Station to nowheresville...

It's a shame too. Lloyd has potential, we've seen what he's capable of, as it looked like he was just warming up in San Fran. He just did not buy into The Redskins Way, and that will hurt him for the rest of his career.

C'est la vie, Brandon Lloyd. Too bad you rap about as well as you play football...

Do you realize if you drop Lloyd novv it cost 7.1 against next year's team?
Let's play out this season first and then you can decide

Not sure if any of the locals heard George Michael tonight. While he was interviewing Joe Bugel he killed Brandon Lloyd. He said he was stealing from the Redskins and he should give back 1 million to the Redskins charity. He just lit him up real bad. Hopefully someone can post the interview.

A contract is a contract and the Skins got suckered...you learn from it and you move on.

Did GM ever kill Brunell this way? Did he ask Gibbs to give his pay check back 2 weeks ago for that joke of an effort against the Pats, or for his over all performance over the coarse of the last 4 seasons? Between the 2 of them they have cost the organazation enough money, and failure to say Brandon Lloyd who.

I think he was referring to George Michael. Joe Bugel really didn't have much to say, while GM was going off on Brandon Lloyd.

Great video clip of George Michael ripping into Lloyd!! He's right, put your money where your mouth is and if you are good enough then you get it back. The FO should have had some performance clauses written into the contract where if you don't reach certain milestones you don't get paid.

Honestly, after that, what can Brandon Lloyd say? He just got pissed on so bad. He looks like a little bitch. You know everyone over at Redskins Park is just laughing at him behind his back. How can he come back after that? He should just leave town tomorrow.
