Through half his first full season, Campbell has lead our team to a winning record....something Ramsey couldn't do for us AND is the bottom line for us. I just hope we're still saying this at the end of the season.

Ramsey led us within a game of .500 during an 8 game stretch in 2004.

Based on how many other factors go into offense (which only as a total makes up about 3/7ish of the total team) than just the QB, I'd say it's a bit nitpicky to talk about a 1.5 game difference in W/L record.

Hate to bring back Vince Young, but his team is 6-2 and he's been one of the worst QBs in the league thus far this year, and I think it's a great example for a team winning in spite of one player, or a team losing despite the efforts of one player.

I'm not trying to be a Ramsey supporter here, just realistic. What you see is what you get in Pat Ramsey, and it just seems that no one is really sure what exactly they saw in him. Some people are sworn to swear he was the worst QB this team ever saw and others think that with development he would have been the greatest. Reality says that neither of these positions has much basis, and that Ramsey fell about directly in the middle.

Ramsey might be a Rich Gannon. A QB that spends much of his career trying to find himself until he finds the right team and the right situation. But the Redskins just was not the team for him. I feel much better with Jason Campbell than what I did with Patrick Ramsey. Don't get me wrong, I think Pat is probably a great guy and he deserves to find his place in the NFL, but I think it's a moot point in discussing Patrick Ramsey as it is now.

good points crazyhorse. But we have to move on and hope that JC can get some freedom from Gibbs so he can produce. Its time to take the training wheels off JC.

Campbell has better talent then Ramsey ever had here. Lets just stay on the JC bandwagon and hope gibbs give JC the chance to shine.

Re: Decent Job Ramsey...And Now He Has Taylor Jacobs!

Detroit was ahead 6-0 in a close game when Ramsey came in to replace Cutler in the second quarter.
Final score 44-7, 3 sacks, 1 int for TD, 2 fumbles. Same old Ramsey- holds on to the ball too long, gets sacked to much and gives up a lot of turnovers. while throwing for a lot of yards.
The worst regular season loss in 20 years for Denver.
Enough said.
Ramsey fans should not be proud.

Good: An outstanding 7-13 on third down, a majority of them third and longs.

Bad: Turned the ball over 3 times.

Denver lost worse 3 weeks ago, btw.

What? You mean that Ramsey gave up 44 points. I didn't even know he played defense.

What? You mean the offensive line's failure to block had nothing to do with the sacks?

What? You mean that Campbell and Brunell and other qb's don't fumble when they're creamed.

Same old dung colored glasses. One standard for Ramsey, another for Brunell and Campbell. Fact, Ramsey throws better than Brunell and as well as Campbell.

Campbell's a great prospect trying to break through. I love the guy. There was zero excuse for playing Brunell.

One thing that you can't critique Gibbs for if you know your stuff is how he handled his QB situation since hes been back. He has dealt with 3 QBs since his return, and in pretty much every situation, has always played the guy who was best suited for the job.

He went against the grain twice, but it really paid off for him.

Re: Decent Job Ramsey...And Now He Has Taylor Jacobs!

I'm not going to read all these Ramsey post because I have read them all before. If Ramsey was that good why is he not starting after 2 years away from DC? I guess all the other coaches (thats head and QB coaches) that have not given him a chance or the ones that have he cannot get the starting job? I guess there are allot of coaches who are as dumb as our coaching staff. If you want to throw up his yards also include pass attempts, TD's, Ints to go allong with those yards.

But that would make him look bad. Oh wait, he is bad.
Ramsey could not beat out a Qb with a torn rotator cuff and a rookie in NY.
He could not beat out basically another rookie on Denver.
How can they not see Ramsey's incredible talent?

So who's picking up Ramsey for their fantasy team this week?

He is, after all, the greatest Redskins ground gainer of the 21st century so for all of us who have lost Larry Johnson...
