Re: Your MVP this year?

Just another quick note, not that I'm hating on TC, but NFL.com doesn't even rank him among the QBs in the NFL because he apparently hasn't averaged 14 or more passes per game.

The guy's been awesome, but you're going to pick as an MVP a guy who plays the last quarter of the season and technically isn't not even ranked from a stats standpoint?

I'm all for TC - he's been awesome and has proved himself an incredibly valuable member of the team as a stand-in QB and a mentor to Campbell.

Attributing the teams success to Collins and Collins alone is treading on Post Hoc territory. It's like arguing that when I walked outside, it started raining, therefore my walking outside CAUSED the rain.

Yeah, the timing is odd and makes you wonder, but you can hardly attribute causal power for the entire team turning around to Collins' play.
Walking outside and rain have nothing to do with each other at any level. A new QB playing well and a team that was losing now starting to win can easily be connected.

I'm not saying TC's doing it all but he's been the catalyst.

Todd Wade. Ever since he's taken a seat on the bench our O-line has been rock solid opening up so many options for our offense

Yes, that's exactly the point I made...

Like someone else said, TC has nothing to do with Portis running his ass off or Moss and Cooley making great grabs and getting open or the defense shutting out the Vikings for half the game and keep the NFL's leading rusher to less than 30 yards.

You might attribute the O-line play to TC I suppose, given his timing within the system. Linking everything else to TC makes as much sense as saying walking outside caused it to rain.

Dan Snyder, the moment he walked on the field last week. We needed that, we really did. Well done.

Re: Your MVP this year?

smooty, did you write that article? and i guess my choice for redskins M.V.P would have to be London Fletcher. the skins defense was ranked in the bottom 5 last year. and now are ranked 12th. while the defense has bended in some games, for the most part it hasnt broke. and i think Fletcher is 3rd in the entire league in tackles. no way Collins is, with all of 3 games under his belt

Re: Your MVP this year?

i would say joe gibbs and the team themselves as MVP.this has been a turbulent year to say the least and they were able to hold it together along with joe gibbs during seans taylors death.

a combination of the team ,joe gibbs and sean.....us the fans for dealing with it too and showing our support for our skins thru this tough year..

i would say that it has to easily be sean taylor.he has most certainly been the biggest inspiration for the skins to wake up like they have.
