Re: Who is Next?
Williams def. deserves another shot at HC imo, and I'd prefer to keep GW and make him HC.
With that being said, I can't say I'd have a huge problem with Cowher, I'm just sick of rebuilding. We've been through too many "rebuilding" years, and I don't want to have to go through that crap anymore. Holding onto Saunders is definitly a top priority as well.

Bringing in Cowher would probably mean a change from the offensive stylings of Al Saunders and would be another turn in the learning process for Campbell. That said though, a Cowher style of offense you'd expect would be much simpler for a QB with less pressure to perform on him (and more on the running back) and maybe the team feels that's what Campbell is best suited for? The whole thing is just crazy right now.

He's still one of the top defensive minds in the game, and he's had 4 seasons under Gibbs to learn and see how a Hall of Fame coach goes about their business. He's also had time to reflect upon his stint in Buffalo, and I'm sure he learned some valuable lessons from that. |

Cowher would mean big changes across the board. He would obviously bring in a new staff, and he would bring in his own guys personnel wise too. But he is a proven winner, and he's still young. I'd prefer Williams to build on what Gibbs started, but at the same time I could certainly understand bringing in Cowher. |

Re: Who is Next?
Bill Cowher power! He'd maintain the momentum Gibbs started, and he'd retain Gregg Williams and make sure we fire Vinny C.!

Re: Who is Next?
How about another name in the mix.....Brian Billick? He's got the experience and he's got the ring.

Re: Who is Next?
A few random thoughts on the new staff under Williams:
1. I bet Blache retires. Apparently that was something in the offing and may yet occur. 2. Jerry Gray becomes DC and S. Jackson becomes backfield coach. 3. Don Breaux, Joe Bugel, Rennie Simmons & Jack Burns follow Coach Joe into retirement. 4. Saunders is retained as OC and creates a new offensive staff in his image.

Re: Who is Next?
No thanks!! He's an Imbecile, why go backwards. I'm sure you Cowboy fans would love for us to pick the wrong coach.

Re: Who is Next?
GW gets the job, no questions!
The man earned his chance at receiving at least a 2 year deal to show what he can do, further, as everyone seems to agree you keep most of your assistants on. I think you get smart with how you speak to Al letting him know that he is next in line if GW cant get it done, this would be the only way to keep him around + he wont get any Head Coach offers anywhere else right now. Lastly, he won’t make the money as an assistant anywhere else. Im telling you all that GW wouldn’t have stayed two years ago, with head coach offers, had Dan not promised him the job upon Joe's departure. I would have to say all signs point to GW, and if Snyder has half a brain he has learned a few things about football over the past few years and should know a shake-up will only impede our current progressiveness! |

Re: Who is Next?
I think Billick and Cowher are the same coach. Tough guys that build solid teams but they both got lucky with their superbowl wins. The steelers had alot of heartache( Kordell Stewart years) while cowher was there and fans seem to ignore that since he got one ring.
If you want a proven champion, Get Vermeil( I don't want him, But he's proven he can win anywhere). I would like to see Gwilliams have another shot. I like his personality, I think he will be a good headcoach. If not him, I want someone young and mean with playing experience. I want Grimm or Mike Singletary. Mike Shanahan sucked his first coaching job with the raiders. Belichek(SP?) sucked witht he browns. Gwilliams sucked with the bills but it's time he got another shot. |
