Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.

So does this mean the 'Skins will be runnin' the "West Coast" offense?

Plus in Campbell's combine and pro career he has had to under go 7 offensive changes. I think he's shown in college and showing in the NFL he can adapt

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.

Seahawks fans seem to speak pretty highly of him. I think a lot were hoping he'd stick around and be at least OC after Holmgren left. Part of it may be appreciation of his talents, part of it may be there affinity for him from his playing days.

Still, I do feel kind of bad for Seahawks fans. I'm sure many of them felt one of their own had finally come home.

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.

Wouldn't it be something if Zorn and Jim Schwartz came here and Saunders and Williams replaced them in Seattle and Tennessee?

I mean I really wouldn't be so surprised to see Saunders in Seattle except for the fact that his offensive philosophy doesn't jibe with Holmgren's

You ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS lock down the head coach FIRST, then let him assemble his staff. With the Zorn signing, we can stop speculating about McDaniel and Spagnuolo as candidates, because I can't imagine either interviewing for an owner who took the prerogative to assemble the coaching staff prior to their interview.
If there is one thing that i trust about danny boy is that he gets what he wants. I'm not saying his decisions are always the smart ones but he does get what he wants. If danny is putting his eggs in one basket, he isn't going to drop that basket.

I don't know though. We will have to see what happens but i do agree with you that Spagnuolo probably won't be our coach. I would think snyder has it narrowed down to just the people who have told him that they like zorn. So i don't know why we might be waiting two weeks. It seems snyder already knows who will be the next coach.

And wouldn't we be the big winners in all of this :-)

I can understand why they would want to look past Williams, but I don't understand why Fassel is higher than Schwartz on Snyder's candidate chain. It seems like every interviewee the Skins had "blew them away." This whole process has pretty much led to the most recent interviewee being the frontrunner for the job.

But... that's not the way things are done here under Lil' Danny.
LOL!
You are so right, Lil' Danny is back to his old ways. Change all the coaches, but the one thing that stays constant besides losing (Skins are 58-70 since Danny took over), Vinny by his side. Hmmm? But "it ain't broke..so don't fix it...(58-70) is ok.

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.

What if the new coach didn't want Saunders? Would it be ok then to allow the coach to have the OC he wants. Or would it be "Little Danny Boy" just meddling?

Re: Zorn becomes SKINS new OC.

I like the move. That's not to say I didn't want Saunders back for at least one more year, but I see good things from Zorn.

I actually believe Campbell will thrive more in a West Coast offense than he did in Saunders' offense. Just my opinion.

Zorn dosen't neccessarily run the so called west coast offense. He has worked in several different offensive formats in his career, both as a player, and as a coach. Let's see how it plays out.

No "OFFICIAL" word, but why is that needed? They have already hired a new OC, to take over his job.

How more official does it need to be?

For what logical reason have the Redskin F***ed up on this move?

JLC Redskin Insider:

UPDATE II: A source with knowledge of the situation said this evening that Saunders has been told to look for work elsewhere and that he does not expect to return to the team in any capacity.
Word of Zorn's hiring comes a day after Joe Gibbs called Redskins assistant coaches to tell them that the search for his replacement is likely to take several more weeks.
"They haven't told us anything [about Zorn]," one Redskins assistant said. "I heard about it on the radio. I have no idea what it means for us."
