Re: Bears cut Adam Archuleta
Well it sounds like his football days are over finally...? Cut by the traiders as predicated, thats as low as a NFL career can go.....I think?
ARCHULETA RELEASED…AGAIN Posted by Tom Mantzouranis on August 30, 2008, 8:06 p.m. I think it’s safe to say that this is the end of the line for Adam Archuleta. He’s failed as a safety and couldn’t make the cut only 19 days after the Raiders took a flier on him by attempting to convert him to linebacker, where his physical skills and lack of coverage responsibilities would presumably help him. They obviously didn’t. It’s hard to imagine another team giving Archuleta a chance. Also waived were C Jesse Boone, CB Darrick Brown, DE Derrick Gray, DE Greyson Gunheim, WR Jonathan Holland, FB Luke Lawton, DB Nate Lyles, WR Chris McFoy, P Glenn Pakulak, RB Louis Rankin, FB Marcel Reece, G Brandon Rodd, CB Nick Sanchez, LB Shane Simmons, TE Darrell Strong, DB Marviel Underwood, CB Michael Waddell, TE Chris Wagner, RB Adimchinobe Echemandu, and DT Josh Shaw. Arman Shields was placed on injured reserve. The Raiders’ roster is now at 53.

Re: Bears cut Adam Archuleta
If he was serious about a switch he could probably take the offseason to put on some muscle and someone would let him try OLB next year.

Re: Bears cut Adam Archuleta
So, how about the other big FA bust - Did B. Lloyd make somebody's final roster?

Re: Bears cut Adam Archuleta
Just found the answer to my own question:
B. Lloyd - Starting WR for the Bears. (opposite M. Booker). Wow. - Average PPG for the Bears? The over/under starts at 7. Average RPG (Raps Per Game) for the Bears: 9.2

Re: Bears cut Adam Archuleta
B.Lloyd starting for the bears is about par with the bears offense.. They are about as potent as dirt weed. They are better off letting Devin Hester be a WR and just chuck and pray, because Lloyd isnt going to do SHIT

Re: Bears cut Adam Archuleta
Um I think John Lynch getting cut by the Pats is the lowest. I mean a team that thrives on getting the most out of old defensive players couldn't keep his career going.

Re: Bears cut Adam Archuleta
You're right, however Junior Seau also had a great career and I don't think he was cut by the Pats. Regardless, I found it shocking that the Pats couldn't use Lynch, given how they have used other old players, which definitely means that he is done.

Re: Bears cut Adam Archuleta
Would not be shocked if John Lynch was resigned by the Pats next week. There is this wrinkle in the CBA about "vested veterans" and them getting a full yaar's salary guaranteed if they are on a team's roster the night before the team's opening game. I suspect the Pats don't want to guarantee Lynch's money for the whole year - - no matter what.
