I think if we see anything this week it will be what JZ's learning curve will be as a play caller and game planner. Those seem to be his biggest stumbling blocks. |

Re: Redskins vs. Saints predictions
This question is basically do you vote with your heart or your head. Almost everyone who logs into "The Warpath" 1) likes the Skins, and 2) wants this to win everyweek, however I think too we have to be objective when evaluating what team is bringing to the table.

Re: Redskins vs. Saints predictions
if zorn has better play calling, and the o line gives clinton a hole to run through, anything is possible.

Re: Redskins vs. Saints predictions
SKINS WIN, as already predicted!
Redskin insider, light practice today everyone present. Sidenote: Brian Billick in the house? Posted at 11:27 AM ET, 09/12/2008 Practice Is Light, with All Accounted for Here's what we can report from the first 10 minutes of practice (it's a light one, with players in shorts and pads): It appears that everyone is present, according to Jason Reid, and that includes Ladell Betts. He was excused from practice yesterday because of a death in the family. For what this is worth, Reid reports that Brian Billick is at Redskins Park today. Dan Steinberg reports on what is the real issue in the Redskins' locker room: politics. And Barry Svrluga, new dude on the beat, checked in today with a piece on Clinton Portis.

Re: Redskins vs. Saints predictions
I don't know guys. Even with this game at FedEx I don't have a "warm-fuzzy" in favor of the 'Skins.
I said it last week and still stand by it today for this weeks game. In order for the 'Skins to win, the defense simply has to generate points off of turnovers. Saints: 28 'Skins: 10 |

Re: Redskins vs. Saints predictions
If Springs was shelved again for a 2nd week in a row, I'd have less confidence. However, the Front 4 will be lacking a key cog (Taylor at 100%), and will have problems putting pressure on Drew Brees. The defense needs to continue to step up.
The Saints defense did give up oodles of yards to the Bucs, including 146 on the ground. But, Portis/Betts isn't putting much fear into opponents thus far, and Campbell looks like prey on the plains, waiting to be picked off by neighboring lions, tigers, hyenas, buffalo, etc. As much as I'd like to use 6 of the last 7 home openers to my advantage, I just can't this week. Saints 24 Redskins 9

Re: Redskins vs. Saints predictions
I think the intangibles will actually boost the Skins to one of their only wins in the first few weeks of the season.
The defense will be strong, and the o will do enough to win. Final score: Skins 16-13.
