Re: Pacman gets in fight
Anyone care to guess how Sheriff Goodell is going to address the matter?

i don't think goodell will sweep it under the rug. buthe has to do something since the cowboys swept it under the rug.he (pacman)has a big problem. he is guarded by 4 babysitters,he can't go anyplace by himself,he sleeps in an apartment the cowboys pay for,and he still finds a way to get in trouble. i almost puked last night when deion sanders was on the nfl network saying how it all got blown out of proportion, that pacman could'nt drink booze, yada, yada, yada.typical cowboy bullshit, what's next for pacman? a spirituial retreat with emmitt, michael, jerry, and jimmy? |

Re: Pacman gets in fight
I'm sure Goodell is pretty livid about this. Jones was supposed to be the poster child for his crackdown on player conduct. He was supposed to be able to say "See? Look at this. I banned this guy for a year and it turned his life around and now he's a better person for it. And we're a better league."
Seems like the fight has been blown out of proportion and, as is often the case, Jones was in the wrong place at the wrong time. But, as even Jerry Jones said, he no longer gets the benefit of the doubt. Goodell is going to have to do something.

Re: Pacman gets in fight
If your the poster child for good behavior and reform, WTF you doing in a bar @ 2 am on a practice night? It does not speak well on your commitment to your team?

to me its not that big of a deal and wont be pissed when the boys and league dont do something. JJ was smart enough to have off duty cops as pacman babysitters because if the body guard wasnt a cop i dont think we'd hear the police take this "the complaintant didnt want to press charges so their was no crime" cover up talk . . . . go skins!! |

Re: Pacman gets in fight
if goodell does'nt do something, nobody else will worry about their behavior.he has been suspended a year but less than 2 months after reinstatement,he's involved in another
incident.if he goes unpunished and gets by with it,the next player that faces a suspending or something similar, will sue the league for bias.something else sickening about this to me is a bunch of cowboys players saying this was no big deal.what a joke! |

Re: Pacman gets in fight
I think it was an ESPN article talking about how Chris Henry was suspended even though no charges were filed.
How is this NOT the same situation?

Re: Pacman gets in fight
just watched jerry jones and deion sanders takes on the incident at nfl.com (sweet weekly collection of videos if you havent been there go now) and JJ and dieon seem to have different views of the fact that pacman fought his babysitter.
JJ - found it alarming that it happened with the very people hired to keep him out of these messes. (not his exact words but JJ seems to get it) dieon - this was in-house and not involving someone from the general public so it should go unpunished. lol the whole point of 24-7 babysitters is so that pacman has ZERO contact and opportunity to get into a fight with the public so the only person he could possibly fight was his own security . . . which im sure JJ thought was a long shot till now. dieon - if a guys in jail should we let him out early since he hasnt attacked anyone from the general public since hes been locked up? i know a bit of a stretch but i hate this biased bill belichik double talk . . we had a different interpretation of the rule stuff. this is why i follow football and not politics. go skins! |

Re: Pacman gets in fight
"They were literally kidding each other," Jerry Jones said Thursday. "They were jiving around ... and all of a sudden one of them starting saying some things, and here you go."
Does this sound at all like: "However, it was an act of horseplay and that there was no argument or fight and the cut was a result of an accident, not from malicious intent on Irvin's part." 'Kidding around' (getting in a fight with your own bodyguard) and 'horseplay' (stabbing your own teammate in the neck) take on a whole new meaning in Big D. |

This is great. I'm not sure what is more humorous, the article or the comments from the fans.
