That's definitely an up and coming area. Should I ever move back, Lady SmootSmack and I are certainly considering that as an area to settle down in

And when he died in combat a couple of years ago, one of the first people to call his mom to offer his condolences was Ted Kennedy.

That's the best I can do..

So are you referring to that little Avalon theater a couple of doors down from Citibank? Across from Wachovia?
Pineapple ,,, you went to school with Colt ,,, man he's gonna be mad at you for wanting Chase

It's actually been a great area for a while. Ever since I was a little kid there has always been a variety of restaurants/eateries, a movie theater, banks, shopping, schools, a library/community center, metro, grocery store, dry cleaners, park with baseball field/basketball/tennis, even a great fish market - all within easy walking distance. But I love that they are constantly improving things.

Have you seen Friendship Heights lately (the area right around the metro)? It looks nothing like it did 5 years ago. It's SUPER upscale now.

Oh yeah, FH used to be just Hechts and Clydes basically. And David Falk's offices. Now it's like Beverly Hills east. I think actually I heard something like only Manhattan has a higher rent per square foot

Re: Sen. Ted Kennedy dead at 77

So did anybody sit down and watch the any of the funeral yesterday? I switched over to catch a few minutes of the game last night and the network had his funeral on so I figured the game coverage was going to be delayed. Then the news person said they were switching from Kennedy's funeral over to NFL football. It was actually knd of rude the way they went about switching over to football.

It was good. As much as a funeral can be I guess. I think I was most touched by the hundreds of former and current staffers singing God Bless America on the steps of the Capitol.

Good thing they did not invite Obama's preacher to lead them off because then they would have sang "God Dam America". LOL

Q&A with Sen. Harry Reid about re-election campaign, approval ratings, son | rgj.com | Reno Gazette-Journal

Interview with Harry Reid:

Q: How will U.S. Sen. (Edward) Kennedy's death affect things?

A: I think it's going to help us.

And so that was the entire conversation. Help us? Help us with what? Two sentences, end of interview?

I really expected Reid to say that Kennedy's death would hurt them and that Helth Care is dead when congress gets back to work. I cannot believe that he said that its going to help them and I'm stunned that a dem would take this stance for his party. That was a ground breaking interview and watch this reporter will win some awards for that interview.

I posted all of it...but honestly, do you even need to hear any more than that? There is no possible context where that could be a positive, admirable thing to say.

Luckily, this piece of trash Senator is going to get killed at the polls. His own state has woken up to his corruption and idiocy.

Yeah Reid is a gia t donkey. I think it was said somewhere else to the affect "Leave it to Harry Reid to say something relatively reasonable in the most controversial way possible"
