Ok. Fair enough.

I suppose the gist of my clumsy question is what separates Bradford (draftable at #4) from Clausen (not as draftable at #4) in the minds of Shanahallen.

I just have this gut feeling that if we don't draft Brafford we are going to be kicking ourselves in two to three years time. I dunno, I just think we can't pass on him. just my opinion.

its seems as though if bradford is there at 4, we will take him. are you saying you want us to move up to assure that we get him?

Good question. I won't lie and pretend I know the answer

This kid is nothing special.. I have never liked this guy and I think it would be a terrible pick up if we drafted him. You have got to work on getting this offensive line straight before drafting a QB. Trade the picks and grab some more draft picks. Maybe McCoy falls or something and we can take him. I'd rather Bradford, McCoy etc.. than Clausen in this draft if we had to go QB. What is there to like about this guy and what did he prove so well in college that he deserves a 4th pick??

Sam Bradford, Jaimmy Clausen, Jason Campbell, Colt Brennan and Todd Collins all want Russell Okung or someome comparable at the LT position to keep them from getting their brains knocked out.

OK, if you think so. Others have a more informed opinion:

2010 NFL Mock Draft: Kiper pushes Clausen inside the top 5 - ESPN

WalterFootball.com: The NFL Matt Draft - Matt McGuire's NFL Draft Blog

I'd say looking at the chart in the article that Clausen stacks up pretty good against the junior seasons of current NFL elite QBs and a couple of recent high picks.

And what's more impressive, he did it with "small" hands

I saw that to. The thing that I didn't like though was that it was only based on the junior years of guys that went on to have much better senior campaigns. Big Ben is the only one of those QB's that came out after his junior season. But yeah the small hands thing is a little ridiculous.

I think a lot of this QB talk is going to be moot anyway. I don't see Bradford on the board at #4 and Clausen would be a reach there. Okung is a no brainer if he's there at #4.

It's going to suck though either way. We'll find out on Thursday night who our first round pick is then we'll have to wait 24 hours to find who the next piece will be. I don't think I have enough self control to handle that.

Yes, Friday during the draft will be a killer. No work will get done. We might as well declare it a national holiday.

yeah, really looking forward to that friday. espn is going to have to come up with a cool slogan name for it to make it an official holiday. I imagine i will get 0 effective work done that day.

Probably, why should that day be any different?

LOL as long as my boss doesn't figure out, it's all good. (and for the record i normally get 10 to 20% effective work done so 0 would be a bit of a departure!)

NFL Videos: Bradford vs Clausen

According to Casserly and the other guy, they both say that Bradford is the exact type of QB that Mike Shanahan would want. If what they're saying is true and he's Mikes guy for sure, then do you all see us moving up to get Sam at No. 1? I could see us trading Jason and Rocky as well as our 1st rounder for their 1st rounder.
