A second round pick is needed for the O line. If you are going to draft a developmental QB get Stull, Lefevour, or somebody else in the lower rounds. I don't see how all of a sudden Tebow has found "the right" mechanics in less than 3 months. I still think these hot QBs on the market will bust for the most part like the Carr, Harrington, Ramsey year of the QBs. All, but Clausen played on totally stacked teams. The overhyped guys rarely pan out anymore.

Count me in on Tebow bandwagon. If he has a chance to be successful everywhere it's with Shanahan and the emphasis on the run. He's also not nearly as bad of a passer as everyone has been making him out to be lately. In watching this video I was not only impressed with is arm strength but also how quickly he gets the ball out of his hands, if he's improved that recently then all the more impressive. I personally love the guy and would love it even more to see him be successful here.

Tebow's college resume may be second to none but the Redskins just cannot afford to use a 2nd round pick on him. After that, sure.

all things being equal, I would agree. But there's a lot of homework that shanny et al are doing now that will change a lot by draft day.

Look at it another way, assume Shanahan absolutely wants a new qb, but rather than take the high risk pick w/#4, he instead goes for a lower risk pick in the 2nd round. If he & the scouts like Tebow enough to take him in the 2nd, I'm all for it. I think the guy's a winner & is making teams think awfully hard about passing (on pun intended) on him.

I don't mind Tebow! But not...Repeat not with our first two picks. If Shanny and Allen move into the third and forgo later picks for this year I would be okay with it (a little) if they think Tebow has what it takes to start or try to start in 2-3 years!

I would love to get more picks... any trade down scenarios around for our number 4 Pick? I know with Bradford going #1 this would decrease our chances of trading down due to less partners. If we got more picks than by all means get Tebow with the added picks! Maybe late 2nd or early 3rd!

One of the things that I find interesting is that our interest in Tebow is so public. The MO on Allen is that he typically keeps his hand close to the vest. So, this could be feaux interest which may cause another GM to snag Tebow and allow someone who we really want to fall to us.

I don't see Allen making our picks in 10 seconds and bragging how Portis liked the pick...

I am all for getting Okung but I not for Tebow. We have to be looking at some else like Pike.

Probably wouldn't take either before the 3rd round...but I'd take Tebow over Pike. Just not sold on Pike at all.

I'm not a fan of Pike either. I'm starting to warm up to the idea of Tebow in the 2nd round. If we came away with Okung at #4 and Tebow in the 2nd... I wouldn't hate that at all.

^ Because of the depth of the draft, there should be several capable OL in the second round. There should be some quality RB's in the second, too. I pray that we do not spend a second round pick on any QB, even if we get an extra #2 in a trade. Draft a QB very high or very low, feed the front in the middle rounds - that's what I say.

NO to tebow! He can't read NFL defenses and even with his new delivery he's still slow at throwing the ball.

I would be nervous drafting Tebow. We need a QB that can be ready to play this year if we trade JC or at the latest opening day 2011. Everything I have read tells me that Tebow will not be ready to lead a team that soon.
