Now because we have let him go he gets another two year deal worth around 8 million. So now he could fail there and when it all said and done earned 18 million in 7 years. Raw deal my ass.
These are my exact sentiments. I called into B.Mitch's show about two or three weeks ago, they were dedicating an hour talking about Jason Campbell. It was the weekend of of the McNabb trade, whenever that was.

Anyway, me and BMitch sort of got into it about how Jason was "treated" and how he got a raw deal. He was going on and on trying to talk me down, you know. The other guy on the show was a prick too. I basically said the same thing you just said, when the Redskins drafted Campbell in the first round, he got his shot. Sure the conditions weren't always perfect here, but God damn son welcome to the NFL! It was funny, they were still talking trash after I hung up. It was a good exchange no doubt.

I wish the Campbell the best and I hope he lights it up in Oakland.

The results of Jason's career thus far has been one of a kind. Hope he finds success out west. Good luck Jason, there are some people here in DC that will miss you.

Re: Campbell A Raider

As far as why '12, I think Mooby nailed it. This was about a possible lockout in the future and the Redskins didn't want to box themselves in with so much uncertainty regarding the future of the CBA.

Look, what got what we got for the guy and it's time to move on. The market was all around unkind to a lot of guys this year, not just Jason. Ask Jimmy Clausen and Colt McCoy.

Re: Jason Campbell traded to Raiders

Rich Gannon did very well with the Raiders, but of course he was a different kind of QB. Rich played for the Redskins, but couldn't do anything because he played with a very bad offensive line. I was surprised when he became an all-pro with the Raiders. Maybe the same thing will happen to JC.

Well Campbell is much better than anything they have in there.

I wish him the best and I hope he succeeds.

Let's re visit this if McNabb goes down. Grossman may be Kyle's guy but JC is the better QB.

Still, JC deserved to go. You got fans wanting him out, never fully got the support of the FO and ownership. I'm glad he's gone because he gets another chance and he gets to start.

Hopefully McNabb stays health, I think Grossman is a decent back up, as long as he doesn't have to play an entire season or something like that.

Now that Campbell is gone the way is clear to start Richard Bartel.

I hope he works out better in Oakland than things worked out for him and The Skins here.

When a team is ecstatic about getting JC it tells you how bad off they are.
