Re: Game Balls
Only to be slightly edgy, I will give a game ball to S. Heyer. Why? WTF is this dude saying you ask. Well, I didn't even see him in the game, but everyone says he came in and gave J Brown a breather on a few plays. If that's true, then I think that's great, cuz I woulda cut him before training camp. So the fact that he can step in, allow Brown to get re-acclimated after a year off, and DMcnabb didn't get sacked because of it, then hoo-ray.
(Ok, maybe he doesn't get a game ball, but maybe a game twinkie?) |

Re: Game Balls
When's the last time a redskin has had 17 tackles.
Game ball to LL, Rak, and CP. CP is a great blocker. Rabach owes him a few beers. Other notables: Cooley, Moss, Gano, Trent Williams (if only for the one long distace run block in the first half-that was awesome), Mike Shanahan. |

Re: Game Balls

Re: Game Balls
I was listening to espn980 this morning and sheehan gave gameballs to our traning and conditioning staff - we had 4 guys leave the game with cramps and they all went back in very quickly.

Re: Game Balls
Absolutely. I think Orakpo probably had at least 10-15 more holds that weren't called. The refs better get their flag-throwing arms ready because we're going to be seeing that a lot.

Re: Game Balls
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like he is such a flash-in-the-pan. Sure, he had however many receiving yards and a lot of that is good route-running, but he was always WIDE FREAKING OPEN. I didn't see any crazy, one-handed grabs and what bothers me the most about him is that it's not like he just figured out how to play football. How many years has he been in the league?

Game ball to Jason Garrett for the play call on the last play of the first half.

Re: Game Balls
Offense- T. Williams- held his own against Ware most of the night
Defense- Orakpo- punked Barron all night, to the point where the refs let some of the holds go. ST- Gano- 49 yd kid was dead center... (would like to see his kick-offs start going past the 15) |

Re: Game Balls
Maybe I'd be more convinced if he broke some tackles or made some nice catches. I guess I'm more cynical based on the fact that's he's a Cowboy and I am just never impressed when he catches a ball since he's always wide open. Maybe that says a lot about his route running, but I never look at him and am like, "Man, what a beast."

Re: Game Balls
I'll give Austin credit but we had some blown coverages. That last catch he was so wide open and that can't happen. We had so many holes in our coverages that almost any NFL WR would've had agreat game.

Re: Game Balls
Yeah, how about the fans at the stadium.
I have NEVER heard that place that loud. We were responsible for some real disruptions, especially at the end there.

You have to give it to him...he ran great routs even on run plays. I hate to say it but he is legit. Having said that, after 100 yards, you get a spy on him too and not put two confused LBs on him when the game is on the line.
