J. Cambell played at a high level in college also but alot of our fans wanted him gone. Now they want us to tryout a worse QB. How does that work? JC should still be here.

Oh man, this is too funny:

JaMarcus Russell's agent, Ethan Lock "He's a big guy. He carries a lot of water weight, but he's lost a significant amount." #Redskins

I just read this on ESPN -- Any chance he gets any meaningful playing time this season?

If Dallas, Giants, or Philly brought him in for a look or signed him, would you and others that agree with you think this was a good pick up or positive move? HELL NAWWW! You all would be laughing your butts off and talking about how much of a bust that he REALLY IS!!

Of course we would blast other teams for bringing him in. You seem to have a hard time figuring out what this "fan" thing is all about.

Oh and jokes aren't your thing either apparently.

Well, I think we all know the guy we should sign is Jevan Snead...but no, The Shanahans can't see that. Guess that's why Kyle's never been a head coach and why Mike was fired...

Are you guys kidding me? This is the guy the Raiders dumped for JC? This franchise is totally f*&^ed. You guys were in heaven with DM, now he has underperformed, so now you are ready to see if one of the lamest NFL Qbs in recent memory is up to snuff? Shit, I would take Frerotte back before that fat, lazy bastard!!!!!!! And for once I am totally serious. Hell, we should have kept Chase Daniel. He would have been better than Russell. OMG, we used to make fun of him all the time in here!!!!!

Considering how coddled and entitled elite athletes are coming out of college, it is no wonder most of them are not mature. Being a successful NFL player requires a ton of maturity and dedication -- something that's hard to get from a 21yo with a $50 million contract, who has been spoiled all their life. Add to that the fact that he was drafted into a dysfunctional organization, and the guy barely had any chance to learn any discipline.

I'm not saying that maturity is his only problem, but it is his biggest. But, time and adversity are good catalysts for maturation, so it's possible he's ready to work hard. Time will tell.
BS argument. Good QBs at least show flashes of good play from the get-go. Even Brees was starting to light it up for San Diego, and then he got his shoulder whacked.

Right. Like Trent Green. Or, Tom Brady. QB talent evaluation is sure-fire, can't miss in the NFL.

No I don't have a hard time figuring out what this "fan" thing is all about. I just don't spend alot of time on "Cloud 9", so would you please send me a postcard while you're there? Just because I'm looking at things from a REALISTIC standpoint doesn't mean I don't understand what it takes to be a fan. Oh yeah jokes may not be my thing, but neither is kool-aid slurping. What is it like?

Chase!!!!!

I think what a lot of people are missing or choosing to ignore is that the reason a lot of us blasted the Raiders for having Russell was because they committed a # 1 draft pick and millions of dollars in this guy. We're not in that position. We brought in for a workout, if we sign him it would be for...wait for it...the vet min.

There's a huge (no pun intended) in making JaMarcus Russell your starter and committing millions of dollars in him and planting him at the end of your bench for relative chump change and see if he shows any signs of progress.

No one is saying he's going to roll in here (again, no pun intended) and become our starter and lead us to an 8 game winning streak then coast to the Super Bowl.

And Ghetto...preach!
