Redskins’ Willie Smith doesn’t mind quitting day job for football

With plenty of time on his hands during the NFL labor dispute, rookie offensive lineman Willie Smith sold knives to support himself financially.

Smith sold more than $20,000 worth of CUTCO Cutlery, becoming the company’s top seller in June and July.

$20 grand in sales for CUTCO? How the hell do you pull that off? Ohio State should take note, you want to pay players, this is the way to do it.

I bet you he got hired by Vector Marketing. About a year ago when I was jobless I considered working for them, they are the guys that go door-to-door selling the Cutco cutlery, but the first thing you had to do if you wanted to work for them was buy the knife set you would use for demonstrations for 150 bucks. Then I did some research on them and discovered they don't have a sterling reputation as a company that is on time with sending your paychecks, and the word scam was being tossed around a lot, so I decided to avoid it. They try to get a lot of kids out of high school and college to do it, that's their primary target market.

When I was in college I went for one of their "interviews", once I found out it was selling knives I was so outta there.
