No, **** that assclown. He got benched for Rex Grossman and Beck. THEN, he turn around and got benched again in Minnesota and demoted to 3rd string AFTER tailoring the offense to suit him. He still couldn't get it done. McNabb got exactly what he deserved and now I see why Philly fans hated the guy. He's a bum.

Re: Was McNabb misused in Minnesota also?
Shanahan's biggest failure was to trade for McNabb, but he seems to be on his way to remedy that. McNabb was a total failure as a QB after he left Philly and that is why he is unemployed.

Re: Was McNabb misused in Minnesota also?
You can choose to believe whatever you like.
I prefer not to rely on hersey and unsourced 'claims' and 'reports'. What I know is that McNabb was coming off a pro-bowl season. I know that McNabb's on the field play didn't warrant his treatment. QBs going into a new situation, especially on a bad team, often have less then stellar production in their 1st year. But, most are given a second year. The fact that McNabb was done after 13 games suggests to me that there was something more to the story then on the field play. The McNabb debacle, and it was a debacle, was a failure on both ends. |

Re: Was McNabb misused in Minnesota also?
McNabb was so nice he just decided Christian Ponder deserved a chance, so he benched himself. What a good teammate.

Did you watch the video? A lot of the drops were not checkdowns, the int was just an excellent play by the def lineman. He doesnt have the drops and he's 13-15 for 200yards.Im not saying Mcnabbs great,Im just saying in that particular game stats didnt tell the whole story and I thought he played well under a heavy pass rush.

Re: Was McNabb misused in Minnesota also?
Its obvious. If Shanny does not win with RG3 as the QB then Danny will get a coach who can win with RG3. Too much invested in RG3, he is now the franchise. For Shanny it is either win or be fired time. McNabb is betting Shanny fail and be fired. It is is opinion.

If he didn't buck being coached and wasn't resistant to change, he would have been our 2011 starter.

Re: Was McNabb misused in Minnesota also?
McNabb played himself right off the field. It's laughable that anyone is trying to defend him anymore.

Look, I was a big McNabb fan before he came to DC. Had tons of respect for him and had really high hopes when we traded for him. One of my cousins who is a huge Eagles fan predicted EVERY SINGLE THING that happened with McNabb, saying that became his pattern late in his Philly career but Reid protected him from the media getting wind of it. He told me that McNabb would practice poorly, but play well in some games. He'd have a huge game followed up by a bust. He'd make wow throws and then skip it to a wide open receiver. He even said don't be surprised if Shanahan benches him because he has the guts that Reid never had. Looking back, we should have known there was a reason why he was traded in the division for a reasonable price.

Mcnabb sucked here he wasn't even better than rex and that's bad. He was washed up and shanny was desperate to start off w a proven QB. I will say if rg3 fails under Mike then he's just not then qb guru some say he is

Without Reid you have to wonder what kind of career DM might have had, or might not have had to put it specifically.

He had some talent let's not take his abilities away like his mobility and his great deep passing but he's not accurate and he always had that "o well" attitude it seemed like. In his prime he was pretty good but yes w out reid who knows
