Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
But they re-did his contract...I'm just surprised b/c the Iggles usually rob a team blind in their trades.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Still $6 million + per year is a lot for most teams cap-wise. I guess I'm not too surprised there wasn't more demand for Samuel's services.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
If Asante = 7th rounder
then Jabar = ...? I'm confused now. He'd probably go for nothing if this trade is the tone setter for the weekend.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
Mike Shanahan says Jabar Gaffney could remain with Redskins - The Insider - The Washington Post
Mike Shanahan now says that there's a chance that Jabar Gaffney could still be a Redskin. Asante Samuel was worth more than a 7th round draft pick. Gaffney's value would equal that of a 6th or 7th round draft pick. The Falcons basically got Samuel for almost nothing. |

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker (Book 3)
me neither! falcons got a steal, although his contract is expensive considering the corners already on the team. im just glad we dont have to see him 2 times a year anymore, he gets hella ints.

This was a while ago, although now that I think about it, it was more of a speculation....

The defensive tackle?
I'm pretty sure he's old. He might help them stop the run, but I don't think he'll be a full time starter anymore.
