Re: NFL Top 100 of 2013

The point I was trying to make is that there's players who have had longer careers who are in the same class as gronk (like revis) who had an injury or players that played more and better last year than gronk (Hernandez, Atkins, roddy white, Julio, sherman, Welker to name a few) I would have put gronk in the 70s especially when there's questions now if he can stay healthy.

Re: NFL Top 100 of 2013

Jimmy Graham being left off the list is just a joke.

I'm all for doing a list show like this, but they've got to get serious about how they put the list together. Poll more players and poll the media too. Come up with a rating system or something.

I agree, but I would still have it be just the players votes that count. I like the whole "players only voting for their peers " concept.

I would have the players vote for more than just 20 guys. I would have it be vote for your top 50 or 75 players. Maybe they can have rules like you can only vote for the other 31 teams, not your own team.

Problem is a lot of the players just don't follow the entire league like fans or media do. Outside of the obvious superstars they're usually pretty clueless.

I imagine it's a ballot issue. Give the guys a insightful ballot to vote from.

If they polled the media wouldn't that ruin the point of all pro teams?

Actually I'd rather see an all pro reveal show than this top 100 garbage.

What would be the best process for Pro-Bowl selections? Maybe have all the coaches/assistants vote, where they can't vote for anyone on their own team?

I guess if you were last year's Offensive Rookie of the Year, you have to be the highest ranked rookie on this list right?

I didn't imagine he would break the top 10, but I am happy that he is higher than Andrew Luck.

I agree but the NFL Network has to fill up time when there's no football going on so we have to put up with this garbage.

Yeah I get that, they could just do a better job with it is all.

The whole thing seems very half-assed.
