At the time the schedule first came out, I had us going 11-5, losing to Philly, Green Bay, Denver, San Fran and Atlanta. So I'm going to remain true to my original predictions. Althought looking at it now, I didn't think we would lose today's game by 18. If I had to make predictions now judging by how we're playing, I'd have us going 6-10. Things have got to change or this can get real ugly.

Re: Skins vs Packers post game thread

The problem is if rg3 struggles than shanny will be on the hot seat ....yes we won the divison but out of the 4 years as a head coach his win lose season would be 1 out of the 4 seasons and that's not good espically with his resume of bad defense.

If rg3 doesn't improve than that's not good....people also don't point out that he will likely get injured and that alone is a worry!!!.

If kirk starts that's trouble since I believe at this point with all this rg3 rusty stuff would be than our best choice .

I think we lose to detroit and oakland is not a bad team infact they might beat us we are not good against oakland and mcfadden going to have 100 yards could be trouble. I think our first win is against dallas.

You know what bruv...I think you're right. Det, with Megatron, Bush, Stafford, has some real fire power. I can imagine a blowout loss, again, next week.

Would be the first time in the HISTORY of this team Detroit has beat us at home...and by history I mean some pretty terrible redskins teams. Somehow I don't think 16-0 against the Lions at home is going to fall Sunday. Even Pat Ramsay beat these guys.

We hung a 35 on them with a jacked up Jason Campbell we can stop McFadden we can win that game, and to you fairweather fans WE CAN BEAT DETROIT next week!

Kyle Shanahan let RGIII be RGIII open the playbook to him run the read option if you don't feel safe about it well he shouldn't be playing. Either let him do what he does or don't play him. This pocket crap is for Kirk Cousins and Rex, It's like we're forcing RGIII to be a run of the mill QB and thats not what we drafted him for.

Secondly the offense has to be in sync no more blocks to the back etc and missed routes.

Third DEFENSE STOP SOMEBODY these rookies in the secondary better cover better.

and finally......for god sakes WRAP UP when you lay the hit.

But seriously if RGIII isn't 100% he shouldn't be in the game. This is hurting the team The eagles was a winnable game.

New NFL rules make it extremely difficult to have full padded practices. Tackling has been bad throughout the league.

Best Defender: In the first half Sunday, it was probably the end zone pylon. After James Jones fumbled the ball late in the half, the pylon cleverly knocked the ball out of bounds, leading to a touchback and saving the Redskins’ defense from more damage. It was a play that came out of nowhere, a play that saved seven points and kept the deficit at least somewhat reasonable at halftime. The pylon didn’t even celebrate its performance, nor did it talk trash to Jones. For its performance, the pylon was given a game ball and offered a special parking space over the next week. Expect a run on “Pylon” jerseys this week. Man, I love that pylon.

Redskins-Packers best and worst

This picture sums it up.

I don't think any other team has been blown out by this much in the first half of games because of poor tackling.

Skins are being blown out for a lot of different reasons, one of the big ones being poor tackling.

Can we just stop trusting RG3 to make the best decision about his body in regards to his injury?

He's not a 100%.

Why do people keep saying this? RGIII looks fine out there health wise. He was fast on his scramble, and he's moving around very well. This isn't a health issue. I feel it's more of a scheme issue than anything. We seem to do well with a up tempo pace on offense, so why not run that? Also some OL issues when we try to run the normal offense.

Re: Skins vs Packers post game thread

Things that need to change:

Stop the stupid ST penalties (kill us 2 weeks in a row and gotten shitty field position because of it)

Stop the stupid personal fouls, lots the last 2 weeks (killing drives and momentum)

Learn how to tackle again

Have Morris spend extra time with teaching Rambo and Amerson on what to do out there.

Promote Chase Minnifield and get rid of Meriweather (being injured all the time doesn't help the team and is a waste of a roster spot)

OL needs to protect RGIII

Play Fred Davis (he looks like the invisible man)

Have the CB's be aggressive instead of giving large cushions

Fire Haslett, he has some good players this year, yet the defense seems to get worse.

You and I see eye to eye so much these days, it's eerie.

Dont leave out the bad kicking job that Sav Rocca has been doing as well. He had yet another short kick today as well. Thats not our issue for losing these games but thats not an nfl punter stat line who kicks line drives
