Fun fact, since 2009 Rex Ryan has been to the playoffs more than Tom coughlin, has the same amount of playoff wins, and has won more games this year than Coughlin. Not saying he is better than Coughlin, but let us not act like Rex Ryan hasn't performed well considering the GM and talent on that team.

Coughlin is the better coach. But Ryan has been a good coach as well. Not as good as Coughlin, that is pretty obvious, but he has done well, and the team has responded well to him.

One of those coaches had a rookie QB. So based on this year, I guess Rex Ryan has been the better offensive coach.

Steelers got screwed... sort of.

Chiefs should have gotten another chance to boot Steelers into playoffs | ProFootballTalk

Based on this year's results, not their entire coaching careers, but based on this year, Rex Ryan outperformed Tom Coughlin. That is all I am trying to say.

In what way did Coughlin do a better job than Ryan in just this year alone?
