Especially since Snyder isn't qualified to even be in a film room.
So you're going to back your rookie coach who wants to sit the player that you hired him to develop after that player plays less than half a season - and do it without even looking more closely into the matter? P-u-l-e-e-e-z-e!

Gruden: "I'm gonna bench RGIII."

skinsfan69: "OK. Thanks for letting me know. Have a nice day!"

Yeah, like that would almost happen.

haha, it may not quite go like that but there really is no need for an owner to be watching film. Gruden is the person that's MOST qualified over at Redskins Park to make decisions on the QB. Not Dan Snyder. This is all about Snyder's ego.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?

We need to hire a REAL General Manager that has 100% power to make all player and personnel decisions. Let him decide who stays and who goes independently of any input from other people. Snyder needs to let go and put his faith in a football professional. If the GM wants to fire Gruden and keep rg3 fine, vice versa, fine too, get rid of both, also fine. Until we have a real General Manager that knows how to build a team (strong o-line) we will continue to stink and be the butt of jokes.

Posted the exact same thing as you. Agree 100%!

Like present time or in the past?

Jay might be better suited in college, but may also not be HC material outside the arena world.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?

The one thing I'll say, Dan was smart enough to go get Joe Gibbs and let him restore order. He gave him complete control and Gibbs made the playoffs twice without a real QB. If Dan finds someone he think is capable, he will step aside and do it.

Problem is Dan just might not be willing to eat the $20M left on Gruden's salary.

The real problem is why give an unproven coach a 5 year 25 mill contract? It's not like Gruden was the toast of the NFL and everyone wanted to hire.

They just fired the proven coach to give the unproven coach his chance. They have tried every type of coach (new, old, proven, unproven, college...) and none has worked. Other than for a nice payday why would any coach want to come to this cluster F of an organization?

No proven or highly sought after coach would... In fact, most of them would already have us crossed out when the process starts...

That is exactly what many people said on several occasions right before Snyder hired a big-name coach.
