Washington Redskins want RB Rob Kelley more involved in offense - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN

Kelley is coming off a 14-carry, 63-yard game in Sunday’s loss to Arizona. That’s not the ideal number of carries for coach Jay Gruden’s liking. It didn’t stem from needing to throw to catch up; rather, the Redskins attempted passes on nine of their first 10 plays in the 31-23 loss.

In Kelley’s first three starts, he rushed for 87, 97 and 137 yards. In his last two, it’s been 37 and 63 yards.

hello, run the ball.

I honestly think we're good at Center. We need ILB, Safety, DTs, lots of work on defense, but if we need anything on offense, it's an upgrade at LG.

Agree with this...think Spencer Long has been good at Center. And actually Sullivan stepped in well the other night...maybe that's the back up depth we've needed at that spot opposed to Leribeus.

At LG...we need more options. Id consider the Nsekhe-Williams-Long line up. Luavao strength is run blocking and well, we don't run the ball enough.

It may be NFL football heresy to move TW to LG, but Nsekhe-Williams-Long-Scherff-Moses would be very strong, wouldn't it?

I read somewhere that TW doesn't like the idea. Well, I don't like him getting himself suspended in mid-season, so he can just deal with it. You know, team first and all that, Mr. Team Captain Williams.

TW has no more say in the matter...Man the fuck up because he bitched the fuck out the last 4 games.

Ill give Luavao 1 quarter this coming game, but if he struggles tell Silverblunt to be ready.

B. Mitch said pretty much the same thing early this week and I agree with him. Our back is against the wall, and T. Williams is partly to blame in all this so he has absolutely ZERO say in this.

I would take Shawn "roller skates" Lauvao out and replace him with Trent Williams. It's about having your best 5 lineman out there and the lineup you listed above is just that.

You listed the short term problems. Next year they need help just about everywhere.

Problem is without fixing the redzone issue i don't believe we will make it..our Defense is giving up way to many points for us to miss any opportunity at Td's..we can't make the playoffs kicking FG's .for what it is worth I think Cousins is a much better QB than Dak but I give credit where it is due.

Dallas has a better record, and beat the Redskins two out of two so far. I'm not sure I'm ready to say they are a better team though. In my humble Dallas Cowboy hater opinion, they just happened to score a few more points than the Redskins did on two separate occasions, head to head in 2016. Both games could have easily been wins for the Redskins with a little better execution in a couple key moments...I for one, hope they are able to meet again in the playoffs.

Agree...they've been poised and executed their gameplan maybe the best out of any team this year in the NFL. But the boys arent head and shoulders better than any current playoff team in the NFC and that's a clear fact. Wild card teams like the Giants, Detroit or Tampa bay could beat them at home.

The defense is so bad its sort of amazing that we've won as many games as we have.

We can make the playoffs by fixing the redzone problems. The defense sucks, there's no question about it. We have to be able to off-set that by scoring 35 - 40 points every week. No other way

If Gruden can dismiss Jim Haslett, then why can't he dismiss Joe Barry and Sean McVay who are far worse? If the coordination of the offense and defense is below average then a change has to happen!

Re: Cards vs Skins Postgame Freakout

If he were the QB for the Redskins and having that type of year, would I be pumped? Absolutely. Do I think he's the next coming of Brady? I absolutely do not. I need to see more of a body of work.

Don't get me wrong, I am not anointing him with ANYTHING. I see the season Dak is having and rather than get excited, my first thoughts are of 2 things. RG3 and Nick Foles.

Two GREAT rookie seasons. And where are they now?
