Re: Around the NFL (Preseason edition)
Bortles looks like a QB that's lost his confidence. Add in another team that may try and make a run at Cousins.

I know these are not worth much, but teams in need of a QB might prefer drafting a very promising one than overpaying a solid veteran that didn't achieve anything yet. In terms of fan happiness (and thus in terms of the board looking good), I think they'll be better off drafting. I mean, we Redskins fans would be mad to see our first solid QB in 25 or so years leave, but for fans of other teams, who is KC ? The ok QB of the Skins that has no playoffs wins... I'm aware fans don't make these decisions, but I'm thinking as our board didn't want to look like they overpaid KC, other boards may very well think the same thing. Which in the end could help us retain KC ! (Which you know I badly want).

Re: Around the NFL (Preseason edition)
with Blake Bortles on the outs we should offer Sudfeld and a bag of balls in trade for him.

Re: Around the NFL (Preseason edition)
Never understood all the even minor hype about Bortles that led to his drafting. Guy has had enough time to establish himself as a starting QB, but he just can't turn the corner.

Re: Around the NFL (Preseason edition)
Jules Edelman might be done as a pat...damn shame. When I saw the pats vs skins training camp several years ago...was blown away how small that dude was. Move him down in your draft rankings

Re: Around the NFL (Preseason edition)
I think most of the hype was based on his girlfriend.

Blake Bortles to start week 1. But needs to play very elite to keep his job.
