Re: Dirty Birds Preview
I've been hard on Preston Smith and his zero sacks but I could see him getting 3 this game. I hope he uses this game to get right for the second half of the season.

Re: Dirty Birds Preview
May have gotten ahead of myself on the "way better than last year" part, but this season seems like a better all around performance imo.

Re: Dirty Birds Preview
It would be nice to win this game from a tie breaker perspective toward the end of the year ..having wins over the Panthers and Falcons could really cement playoff chances in the NFC. I think both those teams will be in the hunt for a spot at seasons end.

Re: Dirty Birds Preview
Its not a must win game. But winning this would be huge. 6-2. I think if we win this one the national opinion on this team will rise quite a bit. For me personally, it would too. It is hard to win 75% of NFL games, or any sport for that matter.

He'll be replaced by Ty Nsekhe, who is referred to by many in the Redskins organization as the best backup tackle in football. "I think the biggest compliment could be that nothing changes, we don't skip a beat," quarterback Alex Smith said. "Play calling, run, pass, you name it, nothing really skips a beat and that is very, very rare in this league. I think when in the middle of the game, your (Pro Bowl) left tackle goes out, it’s a rarity to have a guy like Ty to step in and do what he does."

Re: Dirty Birds Preview
When it comes to depth on this team...Nsekhe is one of the strongest backups we have. I have a lot of faith in him. The fact we don’t swing over Moses says a lot. Get well silverblunt.

Re: Dirty Birds Preview
Ty is a great backup no doubt but we’ll definitely miss Trent. Can’t just replace the best LT in the game.

Re: Dirty Birds Preview
Still nice to not have to be in full panic mode. Hopefully when TW gets back he is 100% healthy and ready to resume kicking ass.

Re: Dirty Birds Preview
Trent athleticism is irreplaceable...getting out in the run game especially.
Really hoping Dunbar is a full go. Also heard falcons kicker Bryant is out again...could come up big in a close game. |
