Smith put 2 perfect throws to him on 20+ pass plays and both time Vernon should have play. Both times he killed drives.

We need to move on from this turd. He doesn't block well anymore. We need to add a balanced TE to the roster. And Im not getting rid of Reed, looks like QB was the issue.

We need to add guys with some wiggle at the WR. Richardson get healthy, Quinn welcome to the slot, but we need an Alpha at WR. I would add a WR in the draft as well. Doctson will need to fight for his spot, Crowder-thanks for the memories

Quinn looks like a nightmare in the slot, if he stays healthy he could be a great steal. I think Alex and Reed were not connecting due to the time Reed missed in the OS. Alex is a consistent guy that throws to guys he trust...

Re: Texans Postgame

The pick 6 was simply two guys that were not on the same page. The QB threw the ball so he takes the blame, but it looked like Smith threw to a spot and expected Reed to be there and he wasn't.

Jay said it was a miscommunication , nobody's fault but yeah either way it cost us the game TBH.

I found it interesting that once Colt came in, Reed and him clicked immediately.

Yeah just the disappearance of Reed in general has been strange to me.

It’s called being familiar with the offense, that why I wanted Colt in there. Smith was on his 1st year with this offense and learning.

I'm just not buying that excuse anymore. We have too more QBs in the league coming in and immediately putting up numbers. Adam Theilan didn't need a lot of time with Cousins.

Like Jay said prior to the season, the team is built and the expectation was for Alex to come in and lead in the QB position.

Alex didn't seem to improve a bit through out the season. The Redskin receiving core isn't The Posse of course, but Alex was awful Sunday. He even made un-Alex like mistakes. His last play he took a 15 yard sack when a throwaway would have left Hopkins with a 40 yard field goal attempt. No sure what was going on with him.

Exactly!
Trey Quinn and his 31" vertical leap outplayed Josh Doctson and his 42" vertical right out of the gate.
We need to stop making excuses for guys that don't produce no matter how pretty they look doing it.

With that said, I should give credit to Preston Smith for making 2 big plays and actually getting pressure a handful of times. He sucks a little less this week.

I brought that up yesterday right after it happened, but got no comments. It looked like he gave Alex the "what was that?" look instead of paying attention to the interception and reacting accordingly.
