If your name Southpaw because you're lefthanded or because you like that kind of beer?

Southpaw Light ROCKS my face off.

Re: Did anyone else watch Comcast postgame? (Lavar Related)

my take

lavar is easily the best lb on the team, washington is a very close 2nd. when greg williams was hired by gibbs to be the defensive coordinater all GW could talk about was LA, how LA was talented and was going to fit in great in his defense. lavar starts the preseason and then the real season playing fantastic, then LA gets hurt, basically done for the season.
during the off season lavar embarrasses the organization, which gibbs hates. LA complains about his contract and how the team rushed him back to soon.
lavar and the organization claim they have "made up" but the truth is dan snyder, joe gibbs and greg williams are still pissed at lavar for his actions. greg williams and joe gibbs see that the defense is good without LA so they bench him and they make up a lame excuse to tell us fans, also, LA is going to cost the skins bib bucks next year so , i think, they want to keep him healthy so they can trade him.
i don't disagree with the skins actions but i wish they would just be honest with us. i don't believe the reason they are giving.

I'm left handed, but the beer is pretty badass too.

I am sick of the speculation, the he said this and that crap. LaVar is a 3 time pro-bowler, he did not forget how to play football. He went through 5 different d-coordinators and still made probowl after probowl, after probowl. They keep saying he isn't disciplined enough for this D, Well dont the players love it because its more aggresive, more attack style? Isn't that what LaVar does best, attack the QB. You can not tell me, Clemons is a better pass rusher that LA, thats just not true. There is an underlying reason why he isn't playing, the salary, the knee, something. He deserves it as well as we do. this is rediculous. The man has been the face of the organization for 5 years, and now is nothing? If they are trying to trade him, going to drop him, not playing him to reduce the salary cap hit because of insentives in his contract, something has to give, and we all deserve to know what it is!!
Absolutely couldn't have said it better...We do deserve to know and everyone saying LaVar is not listening to the coaches and all that...that is speculation...Why does GW deserve more respect than LaVar...I love GW..dont get me wrong but I think we as the fans deserve real answers....dont you agree?

Why does GW deserve more respect than LaVar?

Are you kidding?

That's like asking why does a General deserve more respect than a soldier.

It's pretty clear why GW deserves more respect than LaVar, because he's the damn coach.

LaVar is the player, GW is the coach.

There's no debate here as to who deserves the respect.

I do have loyalty, #1 to the team and #2 to the men running the show.

So you dont feel we as fans deserve an honest answer on the guy who stood for the whole organization???GW's defense lost the game for us last week. No turnovers in 3 games. That is not acceptable!!!!!!!!!

Redskinsnation21 I think you need to just chill out and think about this. GW's defense has been the only positive thing coming out of Redskins Park the last 2 years. Last year without Lavar our defense was ranked #3. Maybe we could've been better with him, but we were damn good without him. So far, the first 2 games of this season our Defense has bailed us out. Especially the Dallas game.

Now I know that no turnovers in 3 games isn't the best stat, but ever since GW took over the defense we have become a respected defense throughout the NFL. I bet you ask any analyst, columnist, GM, whoever and they'll tell you that the BEST coordinator in the game right now is GW.

I know, I feel you..GW is awesome and I hope he takes over down the road but I am just a frustrated fan and just want some answers. I just wanted him out there to lay out of some Broncos. I was at the game and the Bronco fans are the worst so I am just venting..

I hear ya man. I'm a big Lavar fan too, but if you have to trust the coaching staff.

Hopefully we'll see Lavar on the field soon, but if we're winning without him....then you can't argue with the decision the staff made.

I thought my little preface to that statement would clue some in that I in fact didn't feel that way. My point was that this is the lamest discussion that has ever graced this board. How anyone can even believe that Lavar isn't playing for something other than performance reasons really is beyond mind boggling. You'd have to make a lot of contrary assumptions in the face fact to believe that. You'd also have to think that all of the coaches are lying and that the beat reporters are completely clueless along with the other players. It would have to either be a complete coverup or everyone involved is stupid. That is not reasonable to assume. He isn't playing because he isn't that good for our defense. Why can't people leave it at that? WE KNOW NOTHING COMPARED THE GIBBS AND WILLIAMS. They aren't missing the boat on Arrington. They see him every day and up til now he sucks enough to sit his ass on the bench. It is simple!!!!!!!!! We're not talking about something that is difficult to understand. Why is there even discussion on this?

I guess you don't watch ESPN or read the local papers much, because several sports reporter and analysts(i.e. Kornheiser, Wilbon, Salisbury, Howie Long, Mike Ditka, etc.) have said that there is more to LaVar not playing than simply "not performing in practice". Most have also stated that it is a slap in the face to LaVar to make him suit up in full pads, just to sit on the bench like he's being punished.
