Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
Defense shut them out in the 2nd half.

Much of the first half defensive issues had to do with coaching, granted, adjustments were possibly made at halftime, but i believe that was just as much the Eagles adjusting their offensive calls with a 20 point lead. Defense grade: C+ Offense grade: D Coaching: C Coaching considering they had 2 wks to prep: D

Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
I was hyper-critical on Rex (deservedly) before the loss.

Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
Yes, it's a loss but...
Everyone is overreacting in my opinion. This team is still 3-2 and hopefully with more reps Beck can do a better job. Honestly, I don't see why he can't at this stage of the game. We held a very, very explosive Eagles team to two touchdowns on a day when they're backs were up against the wall. Bottom line, Grossman doesn't come up shit the bed, it's completely different score. No question in my mind. I'm just personally relieved that Shanny will put the Grossman era behind sooner rather than later. |

Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
Our defense was beat up in the first half by a 1-3 team. The second half was how they were supposed to play.
We can not go man to man as much we did in the first half against that kind caliber WR's. Haslett need to stop reading the press clipping and play with in the talent level of his defense. Last edited by Defensewins; 10-16-2011 at 05:37 PM. |

I think you are out of your mind. (unless you are referring to the Eagles)

Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
yup and made plays to put the offense in good shape.
Ill say it again, you hold the Eagles offense to 20 points, you should be able to make plays on offense to win the game

Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
People rarely criticize the coach around here...well except during the Zorn era.

Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
the way we responded in 2nd half made me proud of Skins' ... we have heart .. Defense is only getting better .. if bullshit call of roughin passer wasn't called in first half game would have been totally different IMO .. Rex did shit the bed ... cost us a chance 2 destroy Iggles season .. Beck looked "elusive" .. 3-2 .. tough game 4 sure ..... regroup we had a wack game running and 4 BAD picks yet still had a chance 2 tie game if D wasn't completely gassed ... hopefully Pats beat Cowboys

Re: The Gameday Thread: Philly at Washington
Again.
How many years have we been "building" this team? I'm waiting for this team to finally be built. I'm only 24, I wanna see a Skins super bowl before I die, damnit. At this rate I'll be waiting into my 30's.
