Ive been thinking a lot lately, and that is WAY too mucho to move up 4 spots in the draft. I would much rather take a Manning, take a chance on Foles to sit under him for a few, and get the best OLineman we can with our 6th pick, or maybe the top WR in the draft if he falls to 6, even though I dont think he will. |

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
And yeah, thats about it. Sorry if I depressed any of you Redskins fans out there. I could have put a positive spin on it and tell you that the glass is half full, but then you wouldn’t like what I told you it was full of. Ok, the haze is beginning to part and the dust settle. Want me to tell you? Want to see whats left for the Redskins to try at quarterback in 2012. Are you sure you can handle it? Here goes, in 2012 I think the Washington Redskins will reunite the cast of ‘Perfect Strangers’ when they sign Kyle Orton to be the next starter in DC, followed by resigning Rex Grossman to back him up (only question is which one is going to be playing the roll of Balki Bartokomous?). Next, I fully expect the Redskins to draft Brandon Weeden in the 3rd or 4th round. Then our rookie quarterback prospect (Weeden) would only be 1 year and 1 month to the day younger than our starter (Orton) who is a 7 year veteran. Finally, in a move that may prove to be most puzzling/promising- i think the Redskins may use a late draft pick or possible rookie free agent signing to add Colt, I mean Chase, I mean Case Keenum to the practice team and try to develop him from there. Thats just how I was looking at it right now, but its early. Who knows whats going to happen from here?

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
o Trade with the Vikings @ 3 for Griffin
o Hope Griffin falls to 6 o Draft Tannehill @ 6 o Trade down/then up for Tannehill o Take Foles/Weeden in the 2nd round o Take Osweiler in the 3rd knowing most likely he'll need to sit the year, which would require a FA starting QB ^^^^-------------(least favorite option)/Kirk Cousins o Trade up for Russell Wilson Last edited by 30gut; 02-03-2012 at 09:53 AM. |
