So is he suggesting Kaepernick is going to go in the 1st round now?

The suggestions offered here about Kaepernick and how to acquire him (or a prospect like him) is comparable to the suggestion some of us have offered up previously. If possible, trade down the first round hopefully to gain an additional 2nd or 3rd and perhaps a player like Kaepernick may be available.

He also has us taking Jones at 10. Then again their are rumors that the Skins are looking QB or WR at 10.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft

I think Ponder will be the only quality QB to fall to us in Round 2. Locker is a wild card but with that number one overall pick skillset he will easily entice a team late in the first. Kaepernick also has great physical potential and will go early in the second. Dalton could just as easily encourage an early second round team to trade back into the late first.

which is why I see us (unless we trade) taking a QB in the 5th. My sig will tell you who I'd take.

That'd be either Tony Romo or the corpse of Jon Kitna.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft

from the article

Quote:
Free safety is a bit of concern, with Kareem Moore a disappointment -- particularly vs. the run. Look for Reed Doughty, who's better suited at strong safety, to push him. Bottom line: The players are here. The consistency is not.
Miss something Clarky??

The more I hear, the more it seems like Locker is a prime target.
