Manning would, at best, be a 3 year solution. This strategy would require us to seucre an understudy for him this year.

Interesting, no other QB who has "learned" by being Manning's back-up has amounted to much.

I would prefer to pass on Manning and draft a highly talented rookie (RG3) or trade for a young stud (Bradford...if available).

Not really since he was pick right before our second round pick and that was what he was slated as. (2nd rounder) JC was slated to go high first round.

I don't buy the argument that it's somehow Manning's fault no QBs have developed under him.

I'll have more thoughts on Peyton later.

Your old place of business and colleagues has mentioned Peyton and Skins together oodles of times in the past week. At first thought it was bs when the rumor first began, but now starting to think it might actually have some life behind it.

I'm not buying that Manning backup argument either. Jim Sorgi and Curtis Painter were never regarded as anything more than a "backup qb at best" option. That's not on Peyton.

It's been very mixed from what I've heard. Not being in the meetings anymore I don't hear the full stories. But from the people I've talked to, they don't appear as interested as is portrayed. for more info you'll have to attend Schneed's interpretive dance at the Guggenheim

Why attend the dance when you can just watch it on youtube?

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

QB information is all over the place, Skins brass are doing a good job keeping their intentions all mixed up.

@granthpaulsen
Grant Paulsen
On #Redskins prospective QB front: From what I have heard, the #Redskins have legit interest in P. Manning and Orton but not in Matt Flynn.

Mirrors what I've heard on Orton and Flynn. Have been hearing mixed on PM, but mostly that Mikes not a huge fan of the idea. Though I think Kyle is.

My opinion is go for it. I'll explain more in my acrylic painting

Well the problem is I don't remember anyone saying we'd regret not taking Dalton, but I was one fan in his corner saying we should draft him and got laughed at because he was supposed to only be camp fodder drafted in the 4th or 5th round.

I do think some people regret it now though. Hinde sight is 20/20 right.

I'm pretty sure about this time last year I got laughed at with people saying Dalton was no better then a 4th rounder or later. Yes after the combine his status did go up a little and people said he was not worth taking because he was no better then a 3rd rounder. Right before the draft after all the QB's got to sit with Gruden did his stock go up to being a 2nd rounder and even then some here failed to admit that.

I like the smell of acrylic paint when I'm reading the Huffington Post.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

Dalton was always slated as a 2nd rounder. The senior bowl just sealed it.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.
