Maybe part...but you have to let it fly. Collins showed last year that the players are getting open, you just have to trust and throw.

I just can't believe no one was open when Campbell had time to throw. I think JC was better and had time in the 2nd half. But the wideouts need to get open and they have to catch the ball.

This game was rather disappointing. There is room for growth here. I do think the game plan left something to be desired and our expectations for a more exciting and imaginative offense were not fulfilled. The defense played hard. We will get better as everyone learns and grows. But I am not so sure I can learn to love the short passing game. We will get better.

The West Coast is a lot of shorter passes, but yeah you should have routes that will effectively get you the first down. Like I said in a previous post, most of the NFL is throwing short anymore on 3rd and long. They are counting on YAC too much. This is scary to say, but I am very much missing Norv and Gus right now, and their old pal Terry Allen.

For as excited I was before this game, I am very disappointed in the play of most everyone.

The true test of zorn is how he overcomes adversity. He's got a long week ahead, he needs to adjust properly.

How about if the WR actual ran past the first down marker? Just a thought.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Game Thread 9/4/08

Zorns play calling sucked. The receivers were not getting open that's why JC was throwing underneath. Poor clock management by Zorn. Defense steppd up in the second half. This shows why we needed out rookie WRs to have been ready to play also. This is one of the shittiest offense performances I have ever seen. JC didn't play great at all. But he didn't turn over the ball. These were bad play calls. PERIOD.

well not so sure, i mean sure play calling was shitty, but campbell should get some good bulk of the blame. On one than more times he held the ball way to long, he been like this his whole career!! i mean if he hasnt learned on how to get rid of it quick and dont second guess so damn much then how are we gona be succeful on offense? If he keeps this hestiance ill gurantee you he will not be here next year, or atleast not or starte..

I didn't see many receivers open during the game at all.

As did Gibbs in his first game. And his second, and his third...

Zorn did look like a deer in the headlights, he also looked like a guy coaching his first game in a hostile stadium against the defending champs. I'm alright with it.
