Zorn did look like a deer in the headlights, he also looked like a guy coaching his first game in a hostile stadium against the defending champs. I'm alright with it.
Let's just pray that Zorn turns out to be half the Coach Joe Gibbs was.

But he didn't turn over the ball. These were bad play calls. PERIOD.
with 5 minutes left why the f@%* were we running the ball?? can i get some passes and some decent clock management?

Yeah ...you would think that would be a no-brainer....BUT, I'd counted at least 8 times we threw way short on 3rd. and long situations.

This team has the same problems as it did last year. Moss still drops passes. Our corners drop interceptions. The clock management is horrible. And, we're still shooting ourselves in the foot with stupid penalties. And, when the game is on the line and we need a touchdown we throw it to Thrash?

Well, I hope they'll realize what they need to work on for next week. The defense stepped up in the 2nd half.

For as much as I don't want to admit this, this is a dead on post.

Flat out, I don't think the Saints have a better O than the Giants. I think the defense really played well against a tough offense. They got better as the game went on and I have no doubt they get better as the year goes on.

The offense has a canyon to cross.

Zorn will learn. So will the offense. Too bad it has to happen in the season, but there's no substitute for that. Remember, it's an EXTREMELY tough early schedule. We need to have some patience. And that means being able to deal with seeing poor offensive football. There is no miracle quick fix.

I thought there were several plays where Rogers was dogging it

Lets run up the middle ,down by two scores. Oh yeah lets get Portis injured also. Zorns a bonehead. Im not impressed. Westcoast offense sucks. Lets go back to the run first and play tough defense days. I miss Gibbs

I was really impressed with the defensive adjustments. They will get better, and they weren't that bad tonight. I hope Steve Jackson and Jerry Gray has the DB's catch passes this week until their hands fall off because we should of had about 4 int's tonight if they weren't dropped.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Game Thread 9/4/08

I thought the defensed played well in the second half, but Smoot was a joke. He plays about 12 yards off the reciever and didn't make Eli and Burress have to work to complete a pass. We better hope that Springs and Rodgers don't miss a lot of time this year.
