Sims might be completing passes, but they're 5-7 yarders.

We need a take - and Simms needs a helmet in his chest after every throw.

17-3 at the half.
We haven't established anything offensively, really. Portis has the TD, but the running game isn't dominating at all. The defense is crazy delicious, though.

Great 1st half by the D. Coach Gibbs will make some adjustments at the half and our O will pick it up in the 2nd half.

Re: Playoff Game Thread: Skins @ Bucs 1.7.06
Face facts - the O has hardly had the ball and we've got 10 points out of them!
The D is doing such a good job of bending without breaking, the Buccs are making yards without scoring, but using up clock. Brunell isn't doing anything stupid and we are chipping away. HT adjustments will probably see more running and PA passes, and the D getting in Simms face more and using some new looks to get in his head. GO SKINS! |

Is Portis healthy? I'm a little concerned he didn't start the half.

Re: Playoff Game Thread: Skins @ Bucs 1.7.06
We need to run a little misdirection with the running game, there D is just keying in on Portis and the flow of the blocking, let Portis cut it to the backside of the play, Samuels can easily kick out Rice, Portis could break off a few big runs that way.
I would run that fake dive to Portis and go with the end around to Moss a couple of more times as well, we have to keep the LB's and safties honest. |

Re: Playoff Game Thread: Skins @ Bucs 1.7.06
Our offense has got to get on track. Less than 80 yards in a half makes me nervous, even if our defense has scored and "kept our offense off the field."
