I'm sure that won't be difficult, he's been an afterthought around Redskins Park for the last two years.

I dont blame it on one person, it was a team effort we lost every single year. But I think some of the problems started from the TOP of the organization.(Danny being too hands on). I think a difference since Joe got here is very visible. Danny isn't in the picture, he is just signing the checks. Coaches are taking over the team or who plays and who doesn't. Joe is in charge of getting his players, and GW in charge of who he plays. This is a good sign for future years. I do think the organization is on the up and up with or without LaVar (obviously without) Guess I need to change my login.
All I'm saying is it's kind of sad that the franchise had sunk so low that things like LaVar's hit on Aikman were enough to make a lot of us think that was a successful season. But that's in the past. Onward and upward now. To infinity and beyond!

Re: Lavar and Giants agree on deal

At first I was worried that he would give away our defensive plays, but then I remembered that he didn't know them. I'm just glad I don't have to read anymore articles about how Lavar plays chess. Big deal, chess is lame. I liked Lavar until before the Seahawks game when he made it all about him. His departure was pretty much in the works ever since he took Danny to arbitration. Bottom line, I would much rather have the players that we used his 12 million on instead of just having Lavar.

Are you serious....he didn't know them?? Are you kidding me?? Okay, him not knowing and not executing are two different things. But pahlease don't act like LaVar was some idiot who had no idea what he was doing!

I for one am very pleased to see Lavar in our division, that means twice a year we have simple game planning and have the pleasure of watching Lavar constantly running in the wrong direction, should make Saundes job that much easier.

I...agree...with you. I DO think he'll be improved, but I think he'll make 3 stupid plays for every highlight reel play.

Re: Lavar and Giants agree on deal

I remember the unselfish Lavar, that when ever he made a tackle he tried to blow the tacklee right out of his socks. (Aikman) Where he would have to go the sideline to make sure he had all of his limbs. And then Lavar would be laying on the field cause he hit someone so hard he rung his own bell. then what happened. Maybe he has the same thing that Ali has. He's punched out. At least it will seem that way twice a year.

Re: Lavar and Giants agree on deal

Adding Lavar to those two DE's will help thier big play ability. He is going to make plays. He is also going to miss reads and leave his position. Lavar's biggest impact may be knocking someone out of a game. Remember the hit on Alex Smith? I don't think Brunnel would have come back from that and still been effective.

Re: Lavar and Giants agree on deal

I think it's great that Arrington signed with the Giants. It will spice up our games with them, as long as he doesn't injure Mark. But Gregg Williams will have a plan for him - it will be fun to watch.

LaVar wasn't going to get it done here - there was too much baggage for him created by his erratic behavior. And he just couldn't submerge his interests into the team's interests in terms of playing within the scheme. This was always a problem with him.

I hope he gets it together in New York. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Re: Lavar and Giants agree on deal

Kinda funny how Ramsey and LaVar will both be playing in the home same stadium still, though with different teams

Who do you guys think will have the bigger positive impact on their team in 2006? (I'm reluctant to start a poll)

Re: Lavar and Giants agree on deal

Ramsey, if he plays. If Pennington plays or they draft a QB, it's Lavar by default.
