I don't necessarily think the Miata is homosexual either. Apparently, the problem was he was getting hit on by dudes while he was driving it.

If he was out cruising parks in NW DC at 3AM in the new Miata, I couldn't tell you.

Re: Sell Me A Car-What Should I Buy

HAHAHAHAHA. I was with my fiancee in a Daiquari Bar in TN one night and she left to use the bathroom and within 3 minutes a guy's hand was on my thigh. I nearly hit the mother f*cker off the stool. Can't guys just keep their hands off of me?

True story. Non-serious final comment.

I guess it's the whole idea of a guy being in a Daiquari bar. Fat Tuesday's is the only hetero bar like that.

After minutes of research and countless of keystrokes I have found a list of Top 12 Gay Cars according to Gay People. Enjoy.

p.s. Jetta, Miata, and Bug are in.

LMAO... these are too funny...

Ford F150: What makes it gay? It looks like some interior decorator sprinkled his fairy dust all over the dashboard.

"Although the Jetta comes in many powertrain configurations, including a fuel-sipping, clean-burning diesel, our favorite is the 1.8-liter turbo (called 1.8T), which has more than enough scoot for squirting in and out of city traffic."

You can cut the innuendo with a KNIFE on that site.

It's hot, and I like Dodges but DAMN they've GOT to do something about those transmissions. Worst transmissions of any car on the road.

I think they have have resolved that. I had a '96 Dodge that lost it's tranny at 115K miles. Then again, I drove 75,000 miles THAT YEAR.

I kept it until about 140K and traded it in on a reliable (so far with 100K) Ford.

My wife's 2000 Pontiac Sunfire has not had a SINGLE problem at all and we have 80K on the clock so far.

American cars are what I buy. I've never had problems with them, unlike the VW I owned in college. That thing nickel and dimed me to DEATH until someone hit me head-on.

Re: Sell Me A Car-What Should I Buy

On the real. VWs SUCK reliability-wise. Yeah, if I were going to buy American, I'd be buying Ford. I know more than a dozen of my buddies who had Dodge trannys crap out on them in the first year of owning them.

Re: Sell Me A Car-What Should I Buy

I have a part 2 to my question. When I'm talking to the salespeople what speicific questions should I be asking? How should I approach getting the best deal?

For getting the best deal, just do good research. Walk in there with printed pages from web sites: KBB, Edmunds, Yahoo, and other local dealers. Looking at all those sites, get a good idea of how much it costs for exactly what you want. Figure out your max price and stick to it... don't be talked out of it!

Your location may also make a difference in price. Check online to see if the same car is listed cheaper in somewhere else within a couple hours from you. It can sometimes be worthwhile to drive a bit to buy something.

The info on the net is great for things like this. It's really easy to call bullshit when you can pull a competitors printed ad out of your pocket. You can never have too much information or do too much research... an informed buyer makes good buys!
