Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Grim -

How do I explain his lack of production in Dallas? Well he averaged 70.5 receptions and 910 yards per year in his two seasons there. How is that unproductive? He isn't Jerry Rice, but he is a very solid 2/3 and your hatred of him is misplaced (maybe stemming from the his book or his getting 'Keyshawned' in Tampa, not sure exactly). I'll undoubtedly take some heat for this, but his career numbers actually match up quite favorably with Art Monk's so the only problem you could have with the guy is his attitude (which I don't see as a problem these days) rather than his production. But, again, he will not be a Redskin any time soon.

By the Numbers:

Keyshawn's Avg. Production Per Season through 11 Seasons:
74 Rec., 961 yds, 5.8 TDs

Art Monks Avg. Production Per Season in 15 Seasons (excluding final year in Philadephia):
62 Rec., 848 yds, 4.5 TDs

Art Monk's Avg. Production in his first 11 Seasons:
66 Rec., 903 yds, 4.72 TDs

And Keyshawn has been amazingly consistent. Not advocating his signing here, just pointing out that you cannot bash his production if you look at the numbers.

You cannot compare those eras. Any true Redskins fan can back up my point. Next.

Those were mediocre stats at best.

I think it's because when Monk was playing they had just invented the foreward pass or something. Apparrently they perfected it under Keyshawn.

Because in Monk's era running was much more prevalent. 1000 yards for a receiver actually meant something.

I guess you have been asleep for the Monk Hall of fame debates. Like I said before, "any true Redskin fan".

What is in SI next week, Peter King?

woah woah woah. Easy. I LOVE Art Monk. I went to his football camp 3 summers in a row when I was in elementary school. I'm outraged year in and year out when he isn't voted into the HOF. I wasn't saying anything bad about him. I just wanted you to clarify, that's all. Monk played several years in the Posse as well, so he lost receptions to Clark and Sanders too...

That Peter King comparison hurt Grim.

So what do you call Lloyd's stats for last year? THE WORST IN THE LEAGUE?

Are we talking about Lloyd or Keyshawn? I will give Lloyd a full year with a QB who can actually throw downfield before I give up on him. Randle-El didn't exactly tear it up either.
