Re: Will the Redskins Make the Playoffs
I voted no as of right now. 10-6 and we are probably in. I'm not sure we can win 6 more games. Besides believing that the skins will win every week, i've got to look at our team from an unbiased point of view. Are we better than the boys and gmen in our own division? No, not right now. Are we that much better than the eagles? No.
We can't score points. We can't win w/out scoring points. I can go on about our D and how much they are improved, which is true, but our offense leaves them on the field too long. We do have a good chance but it's hard for me to say yes right now. We need to get the O fixed immediately. |

You're like Darth Vader, on the outside you're pure evil, but there is still good in you. I know that, one day, you will come to the Burgundy and Gold side of the force.

You think a guy that used to throw darts at a John Riggins poster when he was younger can even make that leap?

We have a good, but not great defense and a bad offense and a somewhat shaky and unproven kicker. That does not = a playoff team to me. And even if we somehow sneak in it's going to be one and done. |

We will make the playoffs......even if it's with a wildcard.

They have been pretty bad in the red zone, but historically McNabb has been a good Red Zone passer, so I would expect that trend to stop. I think we are a better team than Philly, but their skill and ours seem to be right in the same area.

Probably not. Here's how I see the rest of the season.

If you're always coming down on the optimistic side, how can your opinions possibly be considered valid? They're rife with bias. There's what you WANT to happen, and then there's what you THINK will happen. There's a difference.

Re: Will the Redskins Make the Playoffs
They will make the playoffs only because the rest of the NFC is very weak. The Cowboys, Packers, Panthers and Seahawks are going to win their perspective divisions. The Giants look like the front runner for the first wild card position. That means the Skins are competing against the Lions, Vikings, Tampa Bay and Cardinals for the final wildcard. The Skins have already beaten the Vikings and Cardinals.

Come down off your high horse and put your dictionary away, it's called being a true fan. If you don't root for your team to win EVERY week, even if they're 0-15 and playing the defending Super Bowl champs who need a win to make the playoffs...if you're predicting a loss and have no confidence in them, you're not as much of a fan as you think. Sure the Jets suck and they don't have much of a chance this week, but the people who really love their team are coming to the game or sitting on their couch with their jerseys and are anxious to see a win. I did the same last week, despite the reality of records and stats and will do it every week until I die because I am a Redskins fan no matter how good or bad they are. Sometimes our team will pull out upsets and I and other Skins fans will be jumping up and down, glad we had the faith in our guys to do it, while some pessimists will have to say "glad they won, but I wasn't behind them all the way." I love stats and numbers, it's actually what I do for a living. I can post plenty of stats and make great points with them, but come Sunday, none of them matter to be because I'm behind my team no matter what numbers, Las Vegas or the media says. Sorry if you can't say the same. |

Granted, they torched the Lions for 50+ points, but they're not scoring a lot of points. They could rebound and they might very well beat us. But the Eagles offense has been anemic. |

Re: Will the Redskins Make the Playoffs
I'm saying yes because I'm a fan.
However (here comes the ass-covering caveat), if Clinton Portis and the offensive line on't pull their collective heads out of their collective backsides and start running the damn ball with some ferocity, we will be lucky to win 3 more games. I say they will do it starting Sunday.
