That's weird that it's missing, I can upload it again this weekend. I've been meaning to install some new ones anyway.

Is calling people names really productive for political discourse? Should "the right" just start calling Obama "towel-head" or something? I thought it was supposed to be all about the issues?

I mean really, what's gained by the name calling? It's never made sense to me, coming from EITHER side.

It's all in good fun. Besides, I'm not a candidate so who cares?

you might as well. As a whole we've shown there is only so much political discourse we can take before it almost all just becomes what it is now. those who time and again have shown their ignorance when it comes to politicals and current events sudenly find themselves on a level playing field because those that once did have something to offer and wanted to be part of a discussion no longer want to or can contribute in any meaningful way for whatever reason-such as thew were "pushed over the edge." It is what it is. All you can do is vote.

Man was it awful, trainwreck bad. You would ask that a potential president be at least proficient in English. The woman can't speak! Highlights included her never having heard of the Bush doctrine and responding "Canada and Mexico" with a straight face when asked about her international travel experience.

I can hardly wait for the debates. This is where this will finally get interesting.

I'm curious, how did the right spin that interview?

Reading through some blogs and right-leaning papers they are getting behind her hawkishness. She invokes the same good/evil absolutes as both Bush and the Sith Lords, which gets people fired up. But I have to say, if you think it is possible for the United States to go to war with Russia, no matter the reason, you are living in the past. That is an absolute impossibility and to suggest as much, which she did in overt terms, is the height of foolishness. McCain talks tough on Russia but he certainly knows that an open military confrontation with them is not on the table. I would trust McCain to maintain our bilateral relations with Russia, but should something happen the idea of a war-loving hockey mom holding the keys to our nukes is enough to give me chills.
