I think the bottom line is this: Starting Ramsey can't be any worse than what we have seen so far. So what if he gets a couple more picks? He has the ability to move the ball downfield and odds are that we will score more TD's because of that....passing and rushing because the downfield threat also opens up the running game for Portis.
Brunell just doesn't seem comfortable, and after five games, the offense should be improving, not regressing like it is. |

i see it both ways, we need a change and throw a different look at opponets D. i think ramsey can stretch the field better as he did against NY. BUT.... i as well think he will cause much more TO's for the offense. Brunells seems to hold on the ball better.... atleast when he's not throwing the ball when hit than ramsey. and i think our int's will jump up much higher with ramsey. i think we will gain more of a running attack with ramsey, do to streching the D, and have better downfield passing, but with much more turnovers with him in do to not reading the D as good as brunell. keep in mind, ramsey has three ints in .5 games than brunells two in 4.5.
my overall vote is that we keep brunell in for 3 to 4 more games and if we show more firepower in those games we keep him listed as starter. if no changes come about, then we really need to throw the season to ramsey in hope for more firepower and that he does need to learn sometime, why not when our hopes are pretty much gone for post season? |

I think Brunell will start, but from what I saw Sunday night each time he got hit he was getting up slow. I'm for starting Ramsey, but we all know Gibbs won't do that. The only Ramsey will get in a game is if Brunell gets injured. And from what I saw he won't be able to take that many more hits. Not that I'm wishing an injury on Brunell because I want to see him succeed and shut us all up, but the reality is Brunell is getting older and he's not taking hits like he used to. Don't be surprised if we see Ramsey in a couple of weeks.
But right now it doesn't matter who's the QB. We need a win. The o-line needs open up some holes for Portis and we have throw the ball downfield. The Defense as always will do it's job. |

I'll be interested to see how long our patience for 'a few picks here and there' from Ramsey lasts if he starts.
I'm not saying he's an INT machine or anything, I'm well aware he only threw 9 last year, but he does tend to throw an INT at very crucial times. |

You might have patience RF, but will everyone else? If he struggles I guarantee it won't be long until cries for Hasselbeck come out.
